Poor Yngwie. He cops a hiding. He is possibly the best around. I read an interview with paul gilbert (love his stuff) where he was asked "whos a better guitar player than you ?? The first thing that came out of his mouth was 'Yngwie'. Point taken though it is hard to listen to for too long. It does Get a little repatative. I ve never seen him play live. Id love too though.

Ive got some instructional Vid he did (hot licks with yngwie malmsteen) I learnt heaps from that. He's got one of the best techniques in then world.

      Always cool to see him.

Even if I get burned out after only an hour.

He is grateness personified amongst guitarists everywhere...

at least Yngwie attempts it with his songs (not the instrumentals. I mean songs like You Don't Remember...)

Satch and Vai....have they ever written a song?

EVH used to be able to write good songs....(I think he's the one who wrote most of the CVH songs, or was it DLR?)

Well to each his own, I guess. Yet you might want to give him a second listen. Objectively speaking, he is a phenomenally talented guitar player, has an innate sense of melody and somehow manages to incorporate intricate progressions into well-crafted and developed songs that have a lot of substance - that you can "hang your hat on", if i may. Subjectively speaking - he fuckin' kicks ass dood!

                      Man, you are missing out.

In my opinion that is one of the worst albums Mikey put out.

It was never an MSG album (Michael Schenker Group).

It was a "McCauley-Schenker Group" album.

Get some of his first 3 or 4 solo albums from the early 80s.

                      VERY MUCH kicks ass!
