    I'm getting more bummed out about Kev as the day goes on...Few know that under his gruff exterior, he was actually kind of a sweetheart at times...

    Hopefully he's somewhere chillin' with Randy Rhoads right now....

        Played Metal Health more than a few times back in the day.

        Saw Quiet Riot open up for Black Sabbath in 1983. Was just as Cum On Feel The Noize was starting to climb up the charts. Riot didn't play particularly well and didn't go over well, either.

        Suppose one has to give DuBrow and the band their due: Metal Health was a monster-selling album. Never really thought QR were heavy metal, though (in spite of the 1983 album title and title track).

        Wouldn't be astonished to find out it was a cocaine overdose. QR and DuBrow were all done by the time QRIII came out, and that was...what...two decades ago, but suppose it's just bad form to post ill of the dead.

        So long, you vocally challenged, hairpiece flaunting, Roth wannabe. The sun finally set on this soul on the run.

            Hearing the news today totally freaked me out .

            I woke up Saturday morning and the first thought of the day was that Kevin Dubrow had died. I couldn't figure why . Didn't think too much about it anyway until I heard the news today. Not a word of a lie. That the mother fuckin truth , I swear....

            I was sufring the radio today while I ate my lunch when I heard "Cum on feel the Noise" so I left it on. When the song finished the DJ announced the news of his passing. It was fuckin surreal.

            52 is far too young to die. I read an interview he did a couple of years ago where he said he did a fair amount of blow back in the day but he gave it up many years ago. He said he now lives (lived) a healthy lifestyle. Poor fucker probably died of an anyeurism.

            Saw Q.R. open for black Sabbath back in '83 on Sabbath's "Born Again" tour. I thought they sounded much better in concert than on record . They put on a good show.
            But that ESP or premonition shit freaks me out.

            Now, if I can only dream the winning numbers for Saturday nights lottery........

                        I saw QR for the first time in 2004 at the Greek theater and all I could think of was the old days (the 70's specifically) and how the Hollywood club scene must have been. Love him or hate him, we lost a big part of LA's rock/metal history. Oh the stories he must have had. I hope he has reunited with his friend Randy.... RIP
