Tony Iommi...anything he ever wrote, period...name a song...

Of course, by the time I knew everything about guitar I was ever going to learn I made Johnny Ramone look like Joe Satriani by comparison, but still...

Iron Man was the first song I ever learned, followed by Paranoid.

Iommi was the fucking bomb. Doesn't even matter how easy that Sabbath stuff was to play. That dude IS fucking gee-tar metal!

He was still kicking ass when I saw 'em last year.

Rock Bottom. And I still can barely play, but I'm working on it. Got a late start in life, but from the time I heard Rock Bottom, I wanted to play like Ace. Only been 30 + years. I still have time.

And here I thought you were talkin' 'bout Schenker-era UFO...
Why settle for something you have, if it's not as good as something you're out to get?

I'm just learning, and as a huge Ramones fan, I figured I'd learn some songs...

Try playing those songs as fast as Johnny for an hour....Not easy.

You don't have to be a virtuoso to be good.

I was floored by Van Halen 1. At the time I had my mind set on playing drums. One problem was the old man .."Drums are too goddamn loud and expensive...How about the guitar?" Fuck yeah!
At the time VH II was melting my brain and I opted for guitar.
I'd have to say VH II convinced me to learn guitar.

"Light up the Sky" is what triggered it for me!
Trolls take heed...LOG OUT & FUCK OFF!!!

My mom's old 45 of "Maybelline" got some abuse.
                        That opening riff.....

I'd get my ass beat when I got caught with those old
ORIGINAL Buddy Holly and Chuck 45's out of their sleeves.

                        She still has that shit.

I remember buying Ozzy's Tribute to Randy Rhoads on the day it came out. After listening to that album i knew there and then that my next purchase was a guitar.
