I make no secret that I cant stand post 80's U2.
So I hope all those that have been hanging out for
another Joshua Tree gets it this time...

a few weeks ago with Bono. He was coming across
as sincerly insecure about coldplay ???

U2 are scared that Coldplay are better than them !!!

I didn't see the interview of which you speak. But U2 have always been a bit insecure and very competitive, more-so than their charismatic Christian nice-guys image would let on...

I think Bono is looking for some sort of challenge out of anyone like they had in the 80s and early 90s, because frankly no band has really touched them since...

I don't think it's insecurity as much as it is blatantly obvious that Coldplay is blatantly trying to ripoff U2 worse than anybody since Simple Minds. If I was Bono, I'd be annoyed at Chris Martin too (or whatever that asshole's name is.)

And Bono only named the unofficial fan club remix CD's after fruit. Not his children like Mr Coldplay and his wife Gwynnie Paltrow did.

I think its a fantastic album.Moment of surrender is one of the best hes written.Well balanced disc that has them sounding alittle like Achtung baby,if youre a U2 fan all is right in the world.
