RRHOF is shit for not putting Alice in there years ago... fuck them all to hell!

Exactly why this charade of being inducted ino some sort of fictional institution is nothing more than a joke. Donna Summer, LL Kool J, Grandmaster Flash?

      All inducted before Alice Cooper?

KISS before Alice is a joke all it's own.

      And it isn't funny.

I remember ACE saying years ago he wouldn't attend if KISS gets in before ALICE....it'd be nice to see him stick to his guns...but I doubt it

Inducted 1994. I have to admit as a Canadian, I've never been a fan. A few decent tunes, but I don't own a single one of their albums.

They got my attention very early in life...Debut album is a classic. Not anything like the "musician's music" they did later.

              Back to Alice;

Anyone remember this guest spot Alice did in his prime on this long-forgotten TV series?

It is truly a crime not to nominate Alice Cooper or Deep Purple. The only good thing about Kiss getting nominated is that Eddie Trunk will shut the f' up about it.

All three deserve to be in, but you have to deal with the OBVIOUS HOF bias against hard rock/metal.

They've inducted bands that they couldn't ignore like Van Halen, Sabbath, Zeppelin, but ignored so many bands like KISS because some uptight assholes can't get past the fact that they have stood the test of time, had hits, huge number of fans, etc.

It is one thing to nominate someone who was influential in the early years of rock (like Johnny Cash...you know..Sun Records, etc.).

It is quite another to nominate fucking idiots who have nothing whatsoever to rock music, like Donna Summers, or Jimmy Cliff.

It only serves to demonstrate the stupidity of people when they label someone who has nothing to do with rock music as a 'rock' artist.

i dunno...i think a lot of it (minus the disco and rap) has influenced rock somehow.

The RRHOF is just getting the bang for their buck. Considering Kiss did Dynasty, they figure they can put Kiss in and give credit to a rock and a disco act.

I agree that Alice should get in, no question. Preferably with his original band.

Deep Purple is more problematic, because the band has become a fucking joke. Who exactly gets inducted?

My vote would go to the true Deep Purple lineup: Gillan/Blackmore/Glover/Lord/Paice. And the early members Rod Evans & Nick Simper as well. "Hush" alone would justify their inclusion.

As much as it sickens me, I'm sure some would insist that Covercheeseball be included. But I absolutely draw the fucking line at Joe Lynn Turner or anyone who has come and gone since the REAL Deep Purple reunion crashed and burned in the early 1990's.

As a 9 or 10 year-old at the time, I remember staying up past my bedtime on a weekday just to catch this when it was originally aired. Once Alice was finished, I went to bed! This is the first time since then I'd ever seen this!

Now if I can only find that Donahue show appearance circa '74/75... Phil was still in Dayton at the time I think...It's 10 am, and Alice has a frosty mug in his hand the entire show. It really was a great interview...Somebody out there has to have it....
