Alex,on the other hand, even ruined the music they had written prior to the breakup of the real Van Halen because he played those shitty fake drums.

Synth drum kits have a valid purpose. They make decent enough practice kits, especially if you're an apartment dweller where space and noise levels are consideration. But a rock band should never actually use them in the studio, and for the love of God, never live. At least Alex did have the sense to bring a real drum kit on that tour.... if not a real singer.

Neil Peart? Hell, I imagine he owns every type of percussion instrument known to man. And his drum kit is big enough to hold all of them, but I can't recall a Rush album where the drums sounded fake, even the ones where Geddy went overboard with his synthesizers in the mid 80s.

As for Def Leppard, I stand by my statement. High & Dry was their peak. Pyromania had enough of Pete Willis left in it to be good. Hysteria was listenable. Everything after that was complete and utter shit.
