This one is very personal for me because my father has Alzheimers advanced to the point he doesn't recognize me anymore.... I need a distraction so without further ado, "Ladies and gentlemen Mr. Conway Twitty"!

This cat means every word he sings and I love his voice... He truly is "a songs best friend".. If you want to see how outstanding his live vocals were check out "It's Only Make Believe" from the David Sanborn show. He freaking kills it...

Every time I hear this it reminds me of my marriage falling apart..... Clapton's guitar sound sooooooooooo fits this song.......

Good reply. I guess I meant I get emotional whenever I hear any of his so-called 'music', not because of any lyrical content, or 'musical vibe' (which you so rightly say does not actually exist) but it is not 'sadness' I feel, more like anger, as in "SHUT THIS FUCKING CRAP OFF!". :D

David Crosby - "Laughing" (in my experience...the absolute saddest song)
                  Willie Nelson - "Songbird"
Van Morrison - "Dweller On the Threshold" (not so much brings me tears, but has a very moving end-of-summer thoughtfulness to it)

a few weeks ago I started liking this song that I kept hearing on the radio.

It was John Mayer... "Heartbreak Warfare"
