Jeez... would a handjob from Dio have been gay?
Might have been too good of a drinking story to pass up on.

Have you seen their protest calendar and the places they choose to protest? Youth centers, womens groups, and Bon Jovi concerts. Their primary focus is tormenting women and children.
The reason for that is because they're cowards.
Actually, it is because that is how they make their cash. They have a legal team, and will sue anyone at the drop of a hat claiming violations of their right to free speech.

I still wish they would die in a horrible fire.

If I was Dave, I'd've finished this story with "so, needless to say, we smoked the joint AND gave each other hand jobs", would've been funnier.

DIO will always be one of, if not THE, greatest of all time. In every aspect.

                    Cheers! :bottle:

Good story with Dave Mustaine. I was actually coming over here right now to post it, I just finished listening to the Rockline replay.

You can hear the clip here: http://www.rocklineradio.com/replay/replay.php It is in Clip #5 of the Megadeth section.

Also just an FYI, the host Bob said they are doing a Rockline special featuring RJD that will air July 7 and replay for 2 weeks after that. Dio was on Rockline 12 times so there should be some good stuff.

Since RJD's passing away I have been watching and listening to all my Black Sabbath Dio era bootlegs.

Last night I watched the Beacon Theatre, New York '92(Dehumanizer Tour) dvd.
                        Man, Ronnie was on fire!

So in honor of his memory I will send the first 5 responders in the US a copy of the dvd.
                        Just PM me your addy.

I have a DVD of their show in Oakland on that tour. Same deal, Ronnie was kicking ass that night! That was the final show of that tour (11/13/92), before Halford stepped in. I had met and hung out with Ozzy and band only 2 weeks prior to that. Wish I coulda said the same for Black Sabbath on that tour.

The 36th installment of the "Shockwaves Skull Sessions" podcast features original RAINBOW/ELF bassist Craig Gruber and returning guest and former RAINBOW bassist Bob Daisley joining host Bob Nalbandian for a very special tribute to the late Ronnie James Dio. Both Bob and Craig share some great stories and memories about Ronnie as they discuss the golden days of ELF and RAINBOW throughout the decade of the '70s and also Craig's involvement with BLACK SABBATH in 1979 during the writing of the "Heaven And Hell" record.

You can now stream the podcast below.

Yeah, I have that one too!
I was pissed because Black Sabbath didn't bring the Dehumanizer Tour thru Houston back in '92.

MEGADETH's DAVE MUSTAINE Remembers RONNIE JAMES DIO - May 26, 2010
During an appearance on this past Monday's (May 24) edition of the nationally syndicated radio show "Rockline" with host Bob Coburn, MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine spoke about the legendary heavy metal singer Ronnie James Dio (DIO, HEAVEN & HELL, BLACK SABBATH, RAINBOW), who passed away on May 16 after a six-month battle with cancer.

"Everybody that's ever met Ronnie, they've got different types of stories," Mustaine said. "We've heard types of stories about his voice and how great he was as a man. And we've heard stories about his different lineups that he's been with.

"One of the things that I remember him most for was 'Sixteenth Century Greensleeves' and 'Man On The Silver Mountain', which was the first record that I'd ever gotten from him with [RAINBOW guitarist Ritchie] Blackmore.

"We had gone out on tour with him when [MEGADETH's] 'So Far, So Good, So What' came out and it was really, really making a statement, because we had broken the Top 200 with thrash metal, and nobody really knew what thrash metal was at the time.

"I remember talking to Ronnie — we were in catering — and I go, 'Hey, Ronnie, I just wanna thank you for taking us out on tour.' He goes, 'Yeah, man. Thanks to you for coming, too.' And I said, 'No. I mean, really. Thanks. It's really cool.' And he goes, 'Look, we could both sit here and give each other handjobs or we could smoke this joint. What do you think?' And I was like, 'Well...' So, needless to say, we smoked a joint and I passed on the handjob."

That's an awesome story...but am I the only one who noticed the irony of the Dio "Let's Smoke This Joint" post being post number 420 ??
