It is a great choice, although 'Alice In Chains' wasn't a patch on the first two.....

I think Grind and Sludge Factory would've fit perfectly on Facelift, and Heaven Beside You on Dirt. But I agree, a few great tracks, but not as solid.

Third Stage was good, but it probably would have been better if it came out in 1980 or 81 like it should have, instead of the ridiculous 6 year gap.

(Which is kind of crazy to complain about, considering we're about to hear the first Van Halen album in 28 goddamned years....)

Anyway, Scholz might have had an easier time in Boston if he had let the other guys in the band do more, instead of going with the illusion in his mind that he alone could do everything. Barry Goudreau put out an alleged "solo" album around that time 80/81 that had pretty much every one else in the band playing on it, and what do you know, it sounded pretty much just like Boston.

God bless Brad Delp, still one of the best vocalists in rock history. There is no "Boston" without him

We might have to make it 4 and slip Farewell to Kings in there too.

The even BETTER Rush three-pack is 2112-Farewell To Kings - Hemispheres.

I respect their right to pursue their creative path, but I MUCH prefer the Heavy Metal version of Rush.
