hey, that's pretty good!!

2 highlights of our night... the acoustic set. never done that before, i played my 12 string taka. it was great success!
the cup of tea and chocolate cake at the end of the night. magnificent.

lowlight... the loadout. the surfers paradise hilton is a clusterfuck. just getting from the ballroom on level 1 to our cars on level B2 was a major headache, then out of the carpark onto orchid ave. with drunk tourists everywhere...

anyone who's ever played resort style venue's will understand.

the truck gig was awesome. beautiful weather, 300 merry drunk party people in their best racewear, sun going down...

now here's a first for me. the other failed musicians will love this Krabby.

we had to set the gear up away from where we were playing, soundcheck it, get it our liberace suits on and be ready to go once the truck drove us 400m (a quarter mile for you guys) up the track in front of the grandstands. literally the truck stops, shuts the engine off, they throw us a 3 phase cable to plug in and boom! playing.

by dint of the coincidental nature of the whole universe, we happened to be facing northeast. as we finished the last couple of songs of our set i saw a geminid come arcing up over the horizon and gracefully flame out in orion. i thought of you guys.

luckily our failed music is quite simple, so i don't have to constantly stare at my fretboard. i can devote my full attention to boobies, butts, and meteors.
