What is a failed musician ? Do you have to make money just because you are good at guitar or tuba in Ed's case ? A musician is someone who plays an instument with some ability last time I looked . On a big stage or your own basement.

Music is subjective. Some of the Chinese stuff sounds like someone falling down the stairs carrying a bunch of pots and pans while someone is playing a one stringed fiddle. If it gets you off and you enjoy it, then I guess whoever made that noise accomplished something.

I don't think there is any logic. Same insults to everybody: "you're fat, unemployed, ghey.."
Even if someone was any of these things, what does it matter? None of those things define a person.
