Interesting side note - I watched a fairly recent interview with Tony Iommi on " That Metal Show " with Eddie Trunk . They were discussing his deep arsenal of heavy guitar riffs - his trademark . Iommi claimed he has guitar riffs that have yet to see the light of day that are as plentiful and quality as his well known classic riffs . Some of them he has been sitting on " for years " . As a classic Sabbath fan , I'm of the opinion that NOW is the time to unleash these sonic gems . There is NOTHING more menacing then a heavy Iommi guitar riff .

Man I would like to hear a good rock album. Van Halen helped me survive busy season last year and I got nothing for this year.

Me too. I think the sound on the 'Heaven & Hell' record would be a bit too sparse and dark for Ozzy's voice these days.....

And by that I mean the last Sabbath record with Dio (when they were billed as 'Heaven & Hell'), rather than the record of the same name from 1980......

I'm relieved they went with Brad Wilk...

He might be a good fit...

I'm curious to see that Rubin is so hands on (at least in that video) - he is renowned as being a very 'hands off' producer.

The weak link here is Ozzy - I really hope his vocals stack up. They sounded good on 'Scream' so there is hope......

I'm actually very optimistic aboot this one........even without Bill Ward

I'd be a HUGE hypocrite, having LARVED ADKOT even without Mike Anthony, if I didnt give it a chance.....

I just hope there are some actual RIFFS on this....something I thought was missing from that HEAVEN & Hell cd THE DEVIL YOU KNOW...........

Some of the best vocals Ozzy ever laid down are on Scream...

I had little interest in the album until I watched that clip. Good to see them playing live in the studio. That's the way to do it. He is a good drummer. Rage is interesting. I like the fit also.

Outstanding ! Can't wait to hear the rest of the album . Sounds like vintage Sabbath as we know them .
How about a 35th. anniversary classic Black Sabbath / classic Van Halen tour ?

                              Most Unholy!

Sounds like something that could have been on Volume 4, despite the scab drummer.

Good to know they are still capable of sounding evil

Gonna guess this won't be the song I'd have chosen as a 1st single.....
