'hard rock' was the generic term mate; they were one of the bigger bands on the scene right around the grunge revolution. the baby animals were also big crowd pullers... i was in a hard rock band in canberra at the time, we got supports for all the bigger bands coming through town. god those were fun nights. then the arse dropped out of it overnight when everyone went flannel, docs, and a cheap out of tune guitar singing about how life sucked.

You pretty much just recited my life at the time back to me. Atleast your still playing these days.

Extreme will be in Australia throughout April. Love'em or hate'em, do not miss'em Ash. Nuno is still insane live.

Yeah I saw them a few years ago.

If you can somehow ignore Cherone's spasmodic onstage behaviour it's well worth going for Nuno Bettingshop.

doesn't quite have the same impact, does it?

a mate of mine was a huge fan, and went to GB in the early '90's. tracked down coverdale's mum and they met for a nice cup of tea and a chat... true story!

Check out the dude on backing vocals. Just waving his arms, he looks cooler than anyone else on the stage.

Bon Scott ruled! He could have wiped the floor with any hair-metal poofter front men, then would have had the class to buy the poor sods a few drinks afterward.

Michael Monroe was terrific. ANYBODY that had the nerve to cover a Nazareth tune ("Not Fakin' It") let alone title an album after one rates pretty high to me.

And this just happens to be one of my all-time favorite tunes...

Why settle for something you have, if it's not as good as something you're out to get?
