My problem with ac dc is that they haven't wrote 1 good song since the back in black album.

Angus young is so fucking predictable its sickening, I can't stand to listen to him any more.

Brian Johnson's voice sucks, almost as bad as his lyrics.

When back in black came out, it was an amazing album and still is today.
I was pretty happy that acdc was able to come back after bond death, but to me everything after bib was total shit.
Repetitive guitar and shit lyrics.

I seem AC/DC with Bon Scott at the RKO Orpheum theatre in davenport Iowa and at the Rockford speedway jam in Rockford Illinois.

Well, that's different. If your problem is with AC/DC the band, then my opinions are not valid. You like what you like.

But your comment was about Brian & so I thought your problem was with him specifically. THAT would be wrong, as I explained.

But that not being the case, well, at least you have 6 kickass albums & a wealth of live material to keep you entertained. Be thankful for that & forget about the rest.

I think acdc with Johnson are great and I love Bon Scott era to .

Brian Johnson has done a great job in the band. They continue to make kickass music.
If it hadn't been Brian, they should have chosen Angry Anderson to be the signer, but then you wouldn't have had the killer band, Rose Tattoo!

I hate to agree with Kristy and I'll admit I'm not the biggest fan and certainly don't have their entire catalog. But was Bon Scott such a great talent? Was he Freddy fucking Mercury or something? Really? As far as I can tell, he was an extremely alcoholic singer that unintentionally cultivated a bad boy of rock image and sang well enough for an above average guitar band.

Brian Johnson is alright. Certainly a better replacement singer than Sammy Hagar, for example. And no question that Back in Black was one Hell of an album.

But the weakness of Johnson is that all the albums that followed it were basically retreads of Back in Black. ....

Hagar replaced a living lead singer. It's not like the boys could choose to resurrect a FrankenBon.

That's not just Johnson's weakness, that's the WHOLE band's weakness. They put out their opus after Bon died and shot their wad writing-wise. I don't think they'd be anymore relevant today with Scott not choking on his alcohol fortified vomit. Possibly less so if without BIB and "You Shook Me All Night Long"...

No homo or anything, but you gotta admit, Kip Winger is a pretty damn good looking guy. It's no wonder my mother had a MONSTROUS crush on him in the 80s. She dosen't want to admit it, but according to her girlfriends and my dad, she fucking LOVED Kip Winger, even after she and Dad got married.


I even nicknamed him "The Hugh Jackman of Rock n' Roll"

But again, great example of all look & no substance. Notice how the bands pre-MTV were a lot uglier? Once MTV hit it became all about how good you looked in your music videos. A lot of those bands would never have made it before 1983 based just on the quality of their music.

Bon sang for a number of bands & enjoyed a long music career Down Under....

The son of Immigrants, Bon hit it big with AC DC................

A failed marriage doesn't make the guy a faliure....he is fondly remembered by family & friends 30+ years after his death........

Doesn't make a difference whatsoever what kind of lives they live to make music sound good to me.

Bon Scott was as much to AC/DC 's sound as DLR is to VH.

Bon was no Freddie mercury, he had a kind of weird voice, but it was a kick ass voice, the only voice that after hearing songs like jail break, if you want blood and shot down in flames, was the only voice for those songs. He was irreplaceable.
I don't like baggin on the current AC/DC
They are certainly successful and seem to love what they do, more power to em.

Hopefully someday they will release an album I want to buy.
