How does the cheese go with the chicken? While I ate meat cheese with chicken or fish was a big no. But it was a while ago :-)

That is not true. I am trying to think of something that actually is better with cheddar, and the only things I can come up with are potato gratain and cheddar dip with fries.
Fish is best with olive oil and lemon juice.
I don't remember what I used to eat with chicken.

I would NEVER mix stuff. Like two different types of meat in one dish. Bacon on a burger??? Wtf? It just seems wrong.

But different cultures do different stuff. I was out with my italian-teacher and she is a cook. We started talking about food. She eas like "oregano and garlic??? Are you crazy? In italy we never mix that. Oregano goes with onion and basil goes with garlic". Lmao. Or was it the other way around :-) I don't remember, it was very precise.
Many people mix fruit in their food, like salty food. For example pineapple or banana on a pizza. I can't do that either. Fruit goes with sweets and vegetables with real food. You don't mix some things.

A tip for all of you who love olives: you have to try a type of olives that are quiet small, black, dry and wrinkled. I'll post a picture later today. They are full of flavour and aren't as salty as the standard olive. More bitter but in a good way (like me )

One of the best sandwiches I've had in a while - roasted turkey, cheddar & fontina cheeses, fried leeks, cranberry sauce on griddles sage multi-grain bread. Amazing. The fact that it was a clear day and I was 50 feet from the beach made it that much better.
