I don't buy the argument either, really. But it runs something like this: porn objectifies women, making them less than people but rather objects whose sole purpose is to fulfill male demands (many of which are somewhat 'violent' - sodomy/gagging etc). This has the potential to lessen empathy, and because it is addictive, runs the risk of making sexual gratification harder to attain without 'copying' porn.

Personally, I think that argument relies on the men in question not being able to separate fantasy from reality. Perhaps it amplifies violent tendencies where they already exist, but I'm not sure it could be proven to instil them.

We lasted 16 years, had 3 great kids, and remain great friends to this day after being divorced 4 years.



Didn't hurt that she was a musician too and we played and toured together for years.
