I just bought a 67 Charger with a 318. 20 MPG all day long !!!

Dad had a '70. Yellow with a black vinyl top. He says that out off all the cars he's owned, that's the car he should have kept.

Cool thing about a Charger..at least around here..is everybody thinks its a cop...rented one a few months back and nobody would pass me..Every car I came up on slowed down..left lane was clear entire trip..

Yeah...our PD has two Chargers, and the state patrol has 'em. County sheriff still runs Impalas, while the city where I work is transitioning to the Taurus and Explorer for their K9 units.

Another locality has Hemi cars but they have routes 90 and 271 to patrol and score some major drug busts from time to time. Our village is one square mile with the highest speed limit being 35.

We're actually on our third Charger. One was rammed by a perp, bad enough to total it. The mayor was convinced that the side air bags and curtains saved the patrolman from major injury.

This 67 is my 4th one. I my first was a 70 R/T 440 back in the late 80's. It was yellow original but someone painted it orange. Then a 71 SE 44O. That was purple original but someone painted it light blue then yellow. I sold that in the mid 90's to buy a 69 R/T 440. Restored that one original red. Clean Cali car. I sold that about 6 years ago. BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE !!! So I picked up this 67. It's decent. From Denver. Needs paint and a bigger motor. I guess I'm a Charger guy. My firt car was a Petty blue 73 340 Road Runner in high school. That thing was a blast ! Sold it for $200 bucks !!!!! My god the hood is worth a grand almost these days !!
