Well shit, if we're talkin' about gear then here's my 2cents:

Guitars: Pensa Custom 7-string(oh yeah), Custom Made Frankenstein (made to be an exact replica of Ed's Original Red-White-Black Frankenstein), Cow-Fur Frankenstein(made with Wayne Charvel parts), Pink-Explosion Frankenstein(made with Wayne Charvel parts-complete with San Dimas Logo-awesome), Fender "Yngwie Malmsteen" Strat(Oct.1988-all original, 9+cond.), and one ESP Killer Akira Takasaki.

Amps: Rivera Knucklehead Reverb, ADA MP-1(classic shred gear), Mesa/Boogie 50/50(1988), Boogie Rectifier Series4x12, Bergantino 308 Speaker Enclosure, an assortment of Line 6 POD's-new and old-for recording mostly, and a DISGUSTING amount of Monster cable(cuz they like me).

Effects: '78MXR Phase 90... that's it... maybe some reverb, or some delay from the Line 6 stuff, but that's it...

It feels awesome to write something and demo it and play it for a chick and have her see you...er...warm side. Happens to me a lot.

I agree also that if you can strip the production away and just have a standard electric guitar with echo and vocal performance that makes the song still compelling, you have a good song.

I love the funk. But I also write all sorts of stuff. I love using piano and hammond organ sounds on my stuff. I have my band record the stuff on our 8-track, with lots of overdubs and I use a LOT of harmony stuff (all on my own).

Love music. Been into it forever.

Maybe if our war ever ends, we can play each other some songs.:D
