Most politicians are corrupt but the system still works even with that corruption. They can sieze power in the United States but can't hang onto it. Grey Davis Govenor of California was corrupt. He wouldn't do anything for you unless you contributed to his campaign. He got smug and overconfident and lost his job because of that. Arnold Schwarzeneggar inherited huge problems that won't be fixed during his term. They are too big.

Not one person runs the United States. It's a complex beurocracy with many parts. Do you think putting a new president in for another four years would change all the problems? Governments take on a life of all their own. Stupid policies and decisions are the norm. Money is rarely spent wisely. Govts. run sloppy until a horrible catastrophe happens and then at the brink of ruin, they pull themselves up with their teeth. The horrible learning experience makes them wise for a few decades before they get sloppy again. In a strang way, prosperity can do as much damage as a depression.

If you voted for John Kerry, then your candidate did something that sets a good example for all politicians. I'm sure John Kerry really wanted to win. I'm sure he had all kinds of pressure from the Democratic Party to prolong the election process and take it to the judges and courts. Kerry chose not to because dragging another election out was not good for the country. He conceded and gracicousely acknowleged Bush as president for another term.

You may not like Bush but he was elected fair and square. If there was as much corruption in the voting system as some Democrats claim, Kerry wouldn't have conceded. He would order a recount or order a federal investigation. Kerry trusted the system and so should we.

Kerry set a wonderful example today. He showed a lot of character doing what he did and we are better off for him doing so. President Bush is the elected president. End of argument.
