I definitly think that most "music" now adays is contrived crap but I'm more into the classic rebel outlaw stuff...Johnny Cash,Hank Williams jr. Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson.These guys all said Fuck what the industry wants I'm playing my own stuff.They paid their dues the hard way and produced some of the best songs ever. IMO

I think you need to read my post again.

Maybe not for talking shit about Dubya specifically, but radio stations and concert halls and promoters have a long tradition of "black-listing" artists for a variety of reasons.

Bottom line: if there is sufficient demand, the stations WILL play the Dixie Chicks or whoever. For the most part, all the station did was react to what their listeners wanted anyway.

p.s. Of the two songs I've heard and all the interviews I've thumbed through, I like the DCs. Much more than Toby.
