Odd thing is, even after Biden's debate performance and the failed assassination attempt on Trump, I'm STILL not sure the needle has moved all that much for either of the candidates.

More so than any election in my lifetime, I think 99.9% of voters already knew 4 years ago who they would vote for this fall.

Could have been staged. I talked with someone who has been to three Trump rallies and Mar a largo. Trump usually has very tight security. The security at the Pennsylvania rally was Three Stooges Level. Now there was a time gap between Trump grabbing his ear and hearing the gun shot. Now most rifle bullets are super sonic. At long distances the bullet will hit before you hear the report of the rifle.

Trump could have grabbed a blood pellet hidden behind or in his ear. Broke it and dragged some fake blood across his face with his fingers. This would take a lot of coordination to be staged. You would have to have a lot of people going along with it. There’s no solid evidence his ear was damaged other than some blood. I found the big gauze bandage on his ear silly.

Actually, the whole thing reminds me of an obscure movie from the early 1990s called "Bob Roberts". The movie was about a right wing celebrity who decides to run for President and creates a hate filled mob of followers in the process. Now doesn't that sound familiar?

It’s all exaggerated theater of the absurd. It’s gotten really silly. I’ve been over in Singapore where there’s actually law and order and adults run things. If the US goes tits up like the Roman Empire there’s nothing left to deter China from taking Singapore. There’s some concern about that. Anyways what a clown show.

I was fully expecting this but it is just a bit silly.

If Trump had to design the absolute best boost he could get to his campaign obviously it's just perfect. A little blood but not enough to be upsetting, no ones hair collapsed.

It's a good movie - but it's a movie.

Had a look for shits and giggles at what Joe Rogaine™ was saying because some young men inexplicably seem to listen to him.

He highlighted the female secret service officer struggling to holster her weapon after the most traumatic 20 seconds of her life when the nightmare scenario had happened and she had been under direct fire and could have died. Joe said it 'looked unrealistic presumably because when he has seen secret service types in The Simpsons or maybe in the Clint Eastwood movie 'In the line of fire' they didn't do that. So just the same Joe 20 years on when he thought the moon landings were faked because photographs looked different on the moon than on Earth so must be fake.

So Rogaine™ said that that this 'proved' that either the assassination was somehow faked but that seemed a bit unlikely his second brilliant hypothesis was more likely that we are literally living in a matrix style computer simulation. Apart from the tiny problem that if we were living in a simulation then the woman not looking simulated like in a movie proves the opposite.

He really is a fucking dummy but I suppose it's worth mentioning because a bunch of people watch his nonsense.

Something else you Americans need to think about.

In the last week I've read and heard a bunch of accounts from people on the left and right and centre politically and many especially early on said something along the lines of 'I was @ wherever when someone said or texted or saw a meme that they had shot Trump.

Not Trump had been shot, the usual mysterious fucking they.

They are the default and it's almost always conspiracy nonsense.

If I was a proper writer rather than some guy on an 80s music website I'm sure there would be a great article to be done about pronouns, woke and conspiracy shit.

Here's a good rule any time you read anything on the internet on any side or hear it in the non mainstream media using the unnamed 'They' it's pretty safe to assume it's fucking bullshit in the same way you should with 'energies', 'auras' or 'trickle down'.
