The 'concessions' Trump 'won' was stuff already agreed with Canada in December with Biden and the Mexicans sent troops to border at the start of Biden's term too.
A trade deficit is not a subsidy. Is he subsidising orange tan suppliers? Should he put a tariff/tax on them so that it costs him more to buy it to solve the problem?Comment

If Trump isn't a Russian asset then he is just someone that is playing chess who can literally only think 1 move ahead when everyone else is thinking 4 moves.
An example of this is defence. The big criticism of Europe and there is a bit of justification in this, is that there isn't enough spending defence and the US has been carrying it.
The way Trump has done this though is just stupid(if he isn't a Russian asset).
If you don't believe me google US defence companies and UK/German/French companies share prices over the last month.
The UK has nuclear missile submarines. I mention this because although probably most of you know this even by 2018 Trump didn't according to his national security advisor.
The problem we have now is that we spent tens of billions on this stuff buying the missiles from the USA and the totally unforeseeable time that the fucking things might be useful deterring Putin who knows if they will still work.
This and everything else means that if and when Europe starts the new spend of literally a trillion dollars on defence they would be fucking crazy to spend it with US contractors because the US is no longer a reliable ally. When Trump and Biden gave up Afghanistan to the Taliban they acquired tons of US military kit but they can't make that stuff work without US parts and upgrades. Why would Europe buy anything from Trump/Vance USA now? So a trillion gets spent in Europe on defence technology and that changes that whole industry hugely.
History says Germany can make pretty good tanks and shit. Would you rather have a Chrysler or a BMW? Trump is just going to create more competition and damage the US military industrial industry.

I've always thought Moosehead was more an export beer for the US/Mexico than a Canadian standard, but they are the last Canadian family owned brewery so their market share will grow there..
