    Alright, alright...

Let's keep it somewhat on topic, please, or I'll be forced to split the thread (yeah, right).

And can we keep the religious attacks out of here? We can start up a religious debate in another thread if that's what you like.

No shit. If I really believed I was going to be raptured in the near future, I would be one easy going motherfucker. In fact, I would lose the motivation to make money and aquire more shit than I really need. I would figure it's all trivial little shit stuff compared to becoming imortal and being one of Jesus's angels.

I probably would liquidate all my savings, pay off the mortgage, send the kids to camp and just lay around half drunk with a good fuck here and there.

I once got absolutely screamed at[not E, an associate] by merely suggesting that with "God" creating BILLIONS of galaxies, that perhaps He actually has other life-forms elsewhere, and that we're not his only creation.
I was raised in the Mormon church and they believe in an endless universe that is full of other gods. We don't worship the other gods and we don't even know who they are. Mormons believe we have a heavenly father and mother. The heavenly father is the God of our particular part of the endless universe. Jesus is our brother who was chosen to save us from the fall we needed to go through to experience good and evil. Since Mormonism believes in polygammy, it's safe to say our heavenly father has more than one goddess wife so all of us could come from different heavenly mothers.

The purpose of this life is to be tested. Most people will fail the test. The real rotten ones will be tossed into outer darkness (hell) and the rest will be assigned variouse degrees of heavenly glory. Heaven in Mormonism is not one place and not everyone gets the same reward.

Mormons believe only those who recieve all their covenants in the Mormon temple and are true to those covenants will become gods and godesses in the next life. Obviousely this will be a small percentage of people, even in the Mormon church.

These valient Mormons who become gods will continue the cycle by creating their own universe and having sex and making more spirit children in inhabit the earth.

Joseph Smith was thinking out of the box here. I don't believe in it but the church has thought of everything. Where Muslims, Catholics, and fundi Christians can't come up with an answer, Mormons have an answer. It may not be correct but everything in the religion is so thought out, there are no suprises. I always found that amusing.

Mormonism has a very detailed description of heaven. In fact, You can take on other wives in the next life and some of them may come from other planets. So in the future you could be fucking someone from another galaxy. Like I said, Joseph little horny imagination was working overtime and he actually sold his idea. Amazing. LOL!

The fundie Christians tend to hate Mormons and the Mormons don't care for fundie Christians or Catholics. That being said, they all are Bushbots. They all vote the same.

          Great thread Warham!

Ive been following Dr.Paul for just under a year now and he is hands down the best man for the job.

He will get my vote and financial contribution as well

Someone in this small town that I live in has posted a self made sign "Vote Ron Paul" on a telephone poll right in the center of town.

I will take a pic and post it here!

And I'm not just saying that. The GOP already have their candidate. They just allow all the other potentials to throw their name to make it democratic. Which the same also goes for the Democratic party. The media darlings will end up winning the nomination.

I predict, and this goes if no one hangs themselves by the balls, that Clinton will win the democratic nomination and Guiliani will win the Republican. It's got nothing to do with who the people really want. It's got everything to do with who will serve the party's best interest.

Dems and Reps are the powers in control due the money that backs them. Everyone else is just whitewash and middle of the road.

That is just a sad fact of reality.
There is no such thing as a wasted vote, even an uncast vote is a statement.

It's not about winning, it's about participating. I know you know that. If the media pick the nominee and you didn't vote for them, it doesn't matter. Like DC (I think it was him) said, this isn't a team sport.

The rest of it I don't really have an opinion on.

And wow, really, you guys? A whole thread with relatively no flaming? Even helping eachother out? When did this bull shit start?
I've got the cure you're thinkin' of.

              September 22, 2007

The end is nigh. Of the third quarter of 2007, that is! And I need your
help to make sure that our campaign gets a big boost. At the end of
the second quarter, on August 1, we had more money than McCain, and we
got a million dollars worth of free publicity.

This time, we can get 10 million dollars worth, IF we have good results
to announce on October 1, and therefore the resources to build for the
              future.

After all, our ideas have never been needed more. The Federal Reserve
is killing our dollar, the war is killing our soldiers, police-state
methods are killing our civil liberties, and the income tax and
bureaucratic meddling are killing our economy.

But there is hope for America in the ideas of this Revolution. What
progress we are making, all across this country, among all groups. The
mainstream media may ignore us, but we are winning strawpolls, drawing
huge crowds, getting local media, moving up in the regular polls (a
lagging indicator, of course), organizing, dominating the internet, and
preparing the way for the early caucuses and primaries.

As our opponents begin to falter, and the undecideds grow in strength,
this is our time. When people learn about our ideas and our work for
them, they join the Revolution. So my job is to make sure they learn!

But I can't do this job alone. I need you. Please, reach out your hand
and clasp mine. Our country is at stake, our children's future and ours
is in the balance. Make the most generous contribution_
https://www.ronpaul2008.com/donate/ you can, and make it soon. Help me
go into October with a roar. Help me build this campaign as it must be
              built.

A 13-year-old said to me the other day, "Dr. Paul, you are the hope of
my future." No, I told her, but this Revolution is. Will she grow up in
a poorer, more socialist, more militarist, more oppressive country? Or
the free country you and I love?

Let's work together with all our strength for the Constitution, for
America, for all our people, for freedom, prosperity, and peace. Together,
you and I can make a Revolution. Let's do it!

              Sincerely,

              Ron

an uncast vote isn't really much of a statement. at best, if you cast votes in the other races/issues on the ballot and leave one blank, it MIGHT be considered.

but to be honest, the candidates don't really care about the undervotes.

no, the best statement to make in the election where you don't like either candidate is a serious write-in. not "bugs bunny," or such, because you're still kinda ignored.

undervotes or joke-write-ins make the voter just look like they might be an idiot and either forgot to vote in a particular race, or they don't really care about the election so they vote in somebody really stupid.

instead pick one of the better losers in the primary to write in. or somebody who should've run, but didn't.

                    that will get noticed.

I'm talking about Ron Paul's belief in the Libertarian fairy tale, which would make his domestic agenda very bad for this country.

While it's true that Paul is not a corporatist candidate, the result of electing him would actually be worse than Hillary or Romney.

The Libertarian fairy tale tells us that removing all regulation of business and allowing the so-called "free market" to take care of itself will solve all of our problems.

Reality has taught us something quite different, especially in the last 20 years.

WAL-MART is a text book example of how the "free market" doesn't exist anymore. If Sam Walton's degenerate offspring roll into the middle of your small town, you're screwed, because there's not a single mom n pop business that can compete with them.

It's the same in any industry controlled by a small handful of mega corporations. And the failure of the government, even under existing laws, to regulate these corporations has given us FAUX Noize, Clear Channel (crappy radio AND concert tickets over $100) poison Chinese everything, and 3.00/gallon gas (while the oil companies post record profits every quarter)

Paul wants to abolish the Dept of Education. You want YOUR kids brought up in right wing "Jesus Camps"??

If all the guy wanted to do was abolish the PNAC policy and legalize pot, I'd be fine with him. But Libertarian domestic policy frightens me even more than DLC fake Democracy does.

Libertarians in the true sense of the term, have one very big thing in common with Republicans.

Neither believe in a National Government.

How can we elect people who think the office in which they wish to hold is part of the problem, rather than part of the solution?

that is a huge over statment. They believe in the down size of federal government, and bringing it back to what the constitution thought government should be.

Paul never said the presidency itself was part of the problem. He said the massive bloat of the government itself is a problem, and it is bloated, no doubt about it.

If Hillary gets her way, there will be even more bloat tacked on with Hillarycare. More bureacracy, more redtape, more hassles.

The Constitution was written in 1787, in a country that had 13 states, and dirt roads (and maybe a few wooden bridges here and there) were the extent of the infrastructure.

We have seen what happens when this country neglects its responsibility to the infrastructure. We saw it in the levees of New Orleans. We saw it in a bridge in Minneapolis. And some old steam pipes in New York city. And, as we found out after the bridge disaster, this was no isolated incident, but one of many potential calamities, because the government has diverted the money which should fix these problems to instead creating MORE problems with a fucked up occupation of Iraq.

If the Libertarians get their way and the states have to fend for themselves, guess who loses the most.

All those red states who TAKE more federal revenue than they pay in taxes.

So then what are you gonna do? Beg California for money??

Is their waste in the Federal Budget? Absolutely. Let's start with the Defense Budget. Then move on to corporate welfare. After that we'll see where we're at and move on from there.
