These scummy bankers would love nothing more than to have the president they backed get shot. It would stir the pot. They want desperate people armed to the teeth to start shooting police and politicians. They want the govt. to crack down. I mean the average person is viewed like live stock to these people.

The worst thing that could happen is to have a bunch of mad and angry people start going off on each other. That will only weaken the country more.

You know people aren't planning on holding hands and singing Kum By Ya around the campfire when they are hoarding ammunition and gold. If the US goes off like a powder keg it will be very ugly. Worse than the Civil War was. Just look at the people in Iraq. They feared anarchy more than they feared Saddam.

In some of these other tragedies the last few days, economic factors were probably part of the equation. And as I said elsewhere, pharmaceutical drugs probably played a part in some of these incidents, as they have in the past (the Virginia Tech shootings for example.)
I grew up around guns. They taught hunter safety in school. We got out of school for a whole week for the deer hunt. I was on the high school skeet team and the principle would keep our shot guns in his office. People would leave rifles in gun racks and nobody would steal them. It was a different world and the thought that some kid would go in and shoot the school up was unimaginable. Sadly, people have changed for the worse.

I lived in Israel. Put it this way. If people live in fear of being blown up or shot, there will be guns everywhere. Guns and ammo are nothing more than metal, wood or plastic, and some nitro cellulose or black powder. You could pile the whole mess up and it would be harmless. Add asshole people into the mix and then you have a problem. It's the same with cars. I mean gee, maybe we should outlaw alcohol again because it causes so many problems and deaths.

Simple solution is to legalize tactical nuclear devices.

If no one sets one off then you will know it isn't tactical nuclear devices that kill people it's people that kill people. If someone sets one off but they have a license for it then you can argue that legislation doesn't work. If someone sets one off and they didn't have a license wring your hands together and say only criminals kill people with tactical nuclear weapons not the majority of owners.

The militia should have the right to bear arms to protect people from the government. Since the government has nukes it's vital that people have too. The founding slave owners completely knew how things would be and as much as said as much. Plus what about hunters? Do you want to prevent their god given rights to use whatever armaments against deer they want?

            You know it makes sense...

Well...... if I had Jesse Helms for a senator, I'd probably stock up on weapons too. But he's dead and burning in Hell now, so you don't need all that stuff.

Those guns are too pretty. Where's the worn bluing, dented wood, and cosmoline stains?

Oh, this thread reminded me of my guns and woman digital pic collection.
just not the place for one of them, but I got a lot some good some bad, some historical some interesting, some thought provoking, and some sensual.

Why so defensive about it Elvis? Is it because I didn't EXPRESSLY say that these guys were fucking nuts, clearly suffering mental illness (which I thought would offend your intelligence to say such an obvious thing). The problem is a guy with a mental problem and one gun and 20 bullets will hopefully do a lot less damage than that same guy with 400 bullets. You can't stop gun nuts and mental patients from doing this sort of thing. But NOBODY needs that much ammo for any purpose.

And these guys who dream the 200+ year old fallacy about having guns to keep the government in check, haven't checked out what's down on the military base recently.

I didn't buy one, but damn they are sweet. Can't really explain it, you kinda have to experience the feel of one.
The funnest thing I ever shot was a MG 42 machine gun. It shoots rounds so fast it just sounds like a rip. The bad part is I had to buy the ammo. Unless you have the govt. buying it, your shooting time is too short.

Yeah. Some of these weapons are fun to shoot just for the fun of it. It's no different than putting a big blower on a Hemi and burning tires. No real point to it other than making a lot of noise and having some fun.
