Michael Moore said as much in "Bowling for Columbine". He pointed out that Canada actually has more guns per person, but far less gun crime.

His theory was that it had a lot to do with the fear mongering of the corporate media. In the case of this particular skinhead asshole cop killing nazi, it would have been the extreme fear mongering of the right wing fringe media.

In some of these other tragedies the last few days, economic factors were probably part of the equation. And as I said elsewhere, pharmaceutical drugs probably played a part in some of these incidents, as they have in the past (the Virginia Tech shootings for example.)

If Moore put down the Big Mac and actually did proper research for his horrendous "documentaries" he'd soon learn that most Canadians carry a single-shot bolt action rifles and NOT AK's or HK 93's! I lived on the outskirts of Winnipeg for 10 months and even went hunting there and not one local hunter had the desire to purchase a Glock 40 (your standard cop gun).

As for that asshole last year at Virgina Tech, talk about fringe media! To blame all this over-pushed, heavily prescribed chemical crap is a feeble attempt by blood thirsty lawyers to place a finger on a large company and say, "You! You fuckers are responsible for this!" in an even sicker attempt to get at least 40% of the cut of the lawsuit by each victims family they can bullshit before a liberal judge. If you remember, this stunt by first pulled by those sharks when Columbine first took place (and in two weeks is the 10th anniversary) and they came by the hordes not comfort the families of those killed but to see what they could get in compensation themselves.

No, that fuckwit at Virgina Tech killed all those people for two reasons:

1. He obviously had a disdain for "rich people" with "der fancie BMWERs, Gucci clothes and der iPods"

and

2. He was raised so socially inept he could get laid or even had a single clue as to go about getting laid. I guess to him only rich people get laid. Or rich people who wear Prada and drive a Mercedes (of wait, I drive a Mercedes and wear Prada and can safely say I'm am far from being rich - in debt up to my eyeballs more likely as for the other part...)

It was was his hate for women, success, and those with money (and who knows where that originated from) which made him pull the trigger on so many while being so full of self-loathing not some brain-fucking pill. Unless of course, some lawyer can prove to me that someone popping Prozac pill head turns them automatically into a gun-toting with disgust for those who drive Mercedes psychopath murdering zombie in which case I better watch my ass.

Kristy, fact is events perceived, real or manufactured for entertainment can have an effect on persons. The VT guy, even as you write about him, has changed my "style" (for lack of better words and purposefully not clarifying).
