There it is. 1-0, Mexico just scored.

That wasn't another So Cal earthquake you just felt, kkkhale667. It was the feeling of about 10 million "Mexican-Americans" rooting their beloved Mexico team to victory.

But I'm sure we'll feel a similar thump tomorrow when USA scores against Slovania

        Maybe you will.

17 million Americans watched the last USA game.

Man, I haven't heard a single lawn mower in 74 minutes, 12 seconds. Very unusual.

Give it until 5PM. That's when the U.S. Open switches back to ESPN from NBC.

Funny, Mexico takes a commanding 2-0 lead and about 2 minutes later a garbage truck rolls by to collect.

Because the argument was brought up by kkkhale667 that anyone who uses a hyphen to describe themselves (i.e. African-American) is foolish, and everyone who lives here should proudly call themselves 'Americans', period. And while I agree, I explain that isn't the case, as evidenced (for the TENTH FUCKING TIME I'VE SAID IT IN THIS THREAD) by the lack of national loyalty toward America displayed on days like today in Southern California.

                      This is the Americas.

There is North, Central, and South America.

Every person born in these areas is an American, the same way everyone born in Africa is African.

I'm sorry but that is not true and I am sure several Canadians would gladly kick your ass for saying that.

I take it this took place after your family moved here from Venus in the seventies.

Canada is geographical region of the Americas. They are from the sovereign territory known as Canada, thus Canadians, which can be sub-categorized into a Providence or territory.
