An electric steam boilers is a type of boiler where the steam is generated using electricity, rather than through the combustion of a fuel source. There will be no alternative energy sources until the very last drop of oil is pulled from the Earth and sold. Once that happens A new energy source will be marketed within a week.

You're wrong. Remember 2008 when fuel prices skyrocketed? Yeah, there was no green energy revolution launched, but it was enough to change peoples' behaviors and get them to abandon SUVs in droves...Imagine when that becomes the status quo...
