i think the steam boiler could make a big comeback..

An electric steam boilers is a type of boiler where the steam is generated using electricity, rather than through the combustion of a fuel source. They are used to generate steam for process purposes in many locations, for example laundries, food processing factories and hospitals. Although they are more expensive to run than gas-fired or oil-fired boilers they are popular because of their simplicity and ease of use. Because of the large currents required, they are normally run from a three-phase electricity supply. They convert electrical energy into thermal energy with almost 100% efficiency but the overall thermal efficiency is variable, depending on the efficiency with which the electricity is generated.
          [edit]Environmental concerns

An electric steam boiler emits no pollutants at the point of use but it may be responsible for off-site pollution, depending on the source of the electricity. It is a very inefficient way of using fossil fuels because a thermal power station converts only about one third of the fossil fuel energy into electricity. However, if the power source is a wind turbine or water turbine then an electric steam boiler could be seen as a very environmentally friendly machine.

            ....
You're wrong. Remember 2008 when fuel prices skyrocketed? Yeah, there was no green energy revolution launched, but it was enough to change peoples' behaviors and get them to abandon SUVs in droves...Imagine when that becomes the status quo...

Maybe this deserves its own thread, but I honestly do not know what to say after watching it.
I posted here because this thread is about the oil and on top of the list.

Judges may not hear cases in which they have either personal knowledge of the disputed facts, a personal bias concerning a party to the case, earlier involvement in the case as a lawyer, or a financial interest in any party or subject matter of the case.
