Well, on the day after, in retrospect, I have to give the Republicans credit for a marvelous strategy (for them).... It started the day after Obama was elected....

They completely refused to legislate, compromise or negotiate with the Democrats for two straight years, in fact threatening to filibuster on every significant piece of legislation.... The term obstructionist couldn't fit better with this group....

THEN, at the same time, they rely on the ignorance of their constituents (ignorant = lacking knowledge, not stupidity) to blame Obama for all of Bush's failings....

It was BUSH and his Treasury Secretary ex-Goldman Sachs CEO Hank Paulson that started the bailouts with Bear Stearns, and Fannie and Freddie, and Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley, as well as the majority of the job losses happened on BUSH's watch. Yet as the midterms got closer and closer, they continually used the terms "bank bailouts" and "get America back to work" as a DEMOCRAT blame, and their ignorant base just sucked it all in....

And even as the Republicans were basking in their trickery-based win, as Lawrence O'Donnell and Chris Matthews tried to pin down Republicans like Marsha Blackburn and Eric Cantor as they continually talked about spending cuts, none of them could ever name one single thing they were willing to cut.... All they wanted to talk about were tax cuts for the rich....

So again, congratulations to the Republicans for a masterful plan... You did what you had to do to get back into power, at least in the House... Of course, you did it by hoodwinking your naive and ignorant base, but whatever gets the job done, right ???

I just hope that you really aren't naive and ignorant enough to believe that they're actually going to improve your life....

It's a goddamn shame to see them go down while the likes of spineless Harry survive.

To the Democrats approach, they merely copied and pasted the Republican's mantra "get Washington back on track" "fix what's wrong with Government, less spending."

Such bullshit, and how incencere to say that when the minute Golden Boy sits down as SCROTUS they've got several 2000 paged whopper bills of nearly a trillion dollars each, ready to go like Magic Bullets.

And they tell their party "oh don't worry, it's all good trust us" and only a few Dems read the bills' provisions and voted no.

Things I'd like to know about this election which may take weeks to come out (because I am too lazy and naiive to go look it all up) is:

1. By how much did Harry Reid win, and was it everywhere else but in Clark County (vegas) did they have those game-able touch-screen ballots? Because Sharon Angle led the polls. Something doesn't match up there.

2. How many conservative Democrats that did NOT vote for Obamacare and the other stupid ideas, survived versus the crafty liars like Reid who did?

3. How many Republican seats of either house lost their spots to Commie Democrats? Was there even one, I don't think so..

Except, this time, the may actually start passing bills instead of whining and vacillating about it forever. I'd prefer that over the "we can't do it because republicans won't let us" bull shit that's been there forever, even if Obama winds up vetoing most of it. Will be nice to see them fight it out to compromise more often.

That was embarrassing.. it sounded like he was drunk. At that point I had to shut 'er down.

Usually at the point of winning the finish line, you see a guy's true character revealed because they lose their composure in the moment and I don't want a guy that runs to the bottle OR a baseball bat when that happens in the future. They're supposed to lead.

I liked Rand Paul's condolence speech to his supporters because he didn't gay it up like Bohner did. He didn't threaten the other party, he just did the Man thing and said "we're sending a message and that's the way its coming to be." Not that I like or support him.. he's a little green in leadership but that was a good speech.
