Another one of those classic genius posts, sure to generate responses. You log on the next day to see what your witty gem has produced to find no one gets it and 2 knotheads want to stick their dicks in it... Well played, sir!! -
REAL Americans would never buy into the ICC thing.
Yeah, let's let a bunch of Socialist Europeans try American citizens and toss the US Constitution out the window.
Besides, your "threat" of allowing the International Kangaroo Court to try US citizens will NEVER clear the HOUSE.
As far as it not going through the House I agree, it can't go through the House because your system has become corrupted.
Otherwise how could the report of the US general investigating the Abu Ghraib atrocities find the Bush administration committed war crimes and then just be ignored?Comment

It's not a 'bunch of Socialist Europeans' who are signed up to the International Criminal Court, it's virtually every country in the world apart from the US, Burma and Russia.

Otherwise how could the report of the US general investigating the Abu Ghraib atrocities find the Bush administration committed war crimes and then just be ignored?
Also, we need at least two parties in control. If either of them get total control it's total disaster. If you are a consevative, clean up your party. If you are a liberal clean up your party. Get some good people in office and we all agree on the important issues. We might differ on how to solve them but we need to cut the spending and bring industry back. We can't print our way out of the mess, we are going to have to produce our way out and the outsourcing has to stop. No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!Comment

The candidates will look at your little letter, then they'll think about who is going to pay for their re-election campaign and act accordingly.
Like here there are vast amounts of US government spending that they simply can't touch like pensions because they are legally committed to them. Of the remainder or discretionary spending military spending makes up 55%.Comment

What's going to eventually happen is the dollar will inflate to being almost worthless and when the multiplier is zero, you can have a gazillion dollars of debt and still not owe a thing. But you don't want to have your personal assets in dollars when that happens. Then we trade something else. Basically, the whole worldwide central banking system is melting down and everyone is cutting rates to zero and the banks are buying stocks with printed money rallying the stock market but gold still shoots up. It's obvious the whole system is rigged and being played. No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!Comment

If you have 20% of the public motivated, you can take the government back. You don't need a majority. Most people just sit on the fence. But if you have a well organized and motivated 20%, you can do it.No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!Comment

It's far from perfect but there are two key rules that would hugely help the US.
a) Political TV and Radio adverts are illegal. A few slots are allocated to the parties and the broadcasters have to show them as part of their license for free.
b) There is a spending limit for each candidate of about $40k plus 10c per voter in each seat. That would translate for a Senate seat in California to about $1.5 million, they currently spend 100 times that.
The main parties centrally still rely on donations and often take them from big business but because of (a) the total for an election of all the seats is usually under about $12m per major party.Comment

ok, folks-let's simplify this whole debate.
all politicians are greedy and corrupt lying fucking sacks of shit who are only out for themselves by any means necessary.
absolute power absolutely corrupts.
it's the eternal quest for who can gain the most power and possess more quantities of the almighty dollar than everyone else....
etc, etc, etc,.............
here, i'm now going to hand the reigns over to ozzy to assist me in making my point.

and also, ozzy says this:
Mother please forgive them
For they know not what they do
Looking back in history's books
It seems it's nothing new
Oh, let my mother live
Heaven is for heroes
And hell is full of fools
Stupidity, no will to live
They're breaking God's own rules
Please let my mother live
Father of all creation
I think we're all going wrong
The path they're taking
Seems to be breaking
And it won't take too long
Children of the future
Watching empires fall
Madness, the cup they drink from
Self destruction, the toll
I had a vision, l saw the world burn
And the seas had turned red
The sun had fallen, the final curtain
In the land of the dead
Mother, please show the children
Before it's too late
To fight each other, there's no one winning
We must fight all the hate
so, to say that ozzy has seen this coming for a long time and has tried to warn us for at least 40 years is food for thought.
now i know that geezer butler wrote these immortal words of warning back in 1970, but ozzy is the one who sang them to us.
Generals gathered in their masses,
Just like witches at black masses.
Evil minds that plot destruction,
Sorcerers of death's construction.
In the fields the bodies burning,
As the war machine keeps turning.
Death and hatred to mankind,
Poisoning their brainwashed minds.
Oh lord, yeah!
Politicians hide themselves away.
They only started the war.
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to the poor, yeah.
Time will tell on their power minds,
Making war just for fun.
Treating people just like pawns in chess,
Wait till their judgement day comes, yeah.
Now in darkness world stops turning,
Ashes where the bodies burning.
No more War Pigs have the power,
Hand of God has struck the hour.
Day of judgement, God is calling,
On their knees the war pigs crawling.
Begging mercies for their sins,
Satan, laughing, spreads his wings.
Oh lord, yeah!
maybe it's just me, but is anyone else sensing a general theme here?
and for the last 40 years we have ignored ozzy and his and geezer butler's wise words of warning.
sometimes art imitates life, and sometimes life imitates art.
ultimately, they mirror each other as a reflection of each other and the times.
perhaps it is not too late for us to finally heed these aforementioned warnings and take actions to stop
the country from passing the point of no return, because, frankly, were a lot closer
to the brink than you may think.Originally posted by hideyoursheepWhen Hagar speaks, I want to cut off my ears and send them to Bristol Palin.Comment

I guess taking your political beliefs from an Australian bass player rather than an Australian billionaire media magnate is a step forward though...Comment
