No shit the system has been corrupted. It's because Americans don't pay attention to what the politicians are doing and there is plenty of lobbyists in Washington to corrupt. What does work is staying on your elected officials. I wrote all the ones who won on our county ballot and congratulated them on their win. Then I said I want the spending cut and I don't care about pork. If everyone did this, things would change. You are always going to have some bad, corrupt politicians but if we ride them the whole time and not just durning election, we might be able to turn things.
Also, we need at least two parties in control. If either of them get total control it's total disaster. If you are a consevative, clean up your party. If you are a liberal clean up your party. Get some good people in office and we all agree on the important issues. We might differ on how to solve them but we need to cut the spending and bring industry back. We can't print our way out of the mess, we are going to have to produce our way out and the outsourcing has to stop.No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!Comment

That's why there is a worldwide run on real assets. Commodity prices will go through the roof while paper assets tumble. The truth of the matter is central fractional reserve banking is just one big ponzi scheme and it's coming to an end. Everyone talks about all the debt we have ran up. Ok, we are in a huge amount of debt but where did the money come from that we borrowed? Simple, it came from nothing. Let's use China as an example. They have loaned us close to $1 Trillion. Where did they get that trillion? They printed it out of nothing. In fact, The Federal Reserve could print everything but you help keep the illusion of worth going by taxing the public and borrowing money. At the end of the day it's all bullshit and if the masses wake up to this, then the game is up. If we give our debtors real assets to pay the debt off then of course they have ripped us off.
What's going to eventually happen is the dollar will inflate to being almost worthless and when the multiplier is zero, you can have a gazillion dollars of debt and still not owe a thing. But you don't want to have your personal assets in dollars when that happens. Then we trade something else. Basically, the whole worldwide central banking system is melting down and everyone is cutting rates to zero and the banks are buying stocks with printed money rallying the stock market but gold still shoots up. Basically what I'm saying is Joe Public actually has more power than he thinks if he has the numbers. It's far from perfect but there are two key rules that would hugely help the US.
a) Political TV and Radio adverts are illegal. A few slots are allocated to the parties and the broadcasters have to show them as part of their license for free.
b) There is a spending limit for each candidate of about $40k plus 10c per voter in each seat. That would translate for a Senate seat in California to about $1.5 million, they currently spend 100 times that.
The main parties centrally still rely on donations and often take them from big business but because of (a) the total for an election of all the seats is usually under about $12m per major party.Comment
