None of them molested me, I was probably looking a bit rough though...

Chef is correct and I thought near Aberdeen (sp?) there's a harbor you could swim with the dolphins. I went to one of our power plants on the other side of Tampa Bay the weekend of Christmas. We saw the manatees and not just a couple, there were about 70 just huddled/ bobbing in the warm water.

I actually don't live in Largo Fl. I live between Clearwater Beach and St Pete Beach. The dolphins in Madeira Beach will jump straight up out of the Gulf of Mexico during the sunset hours.

I have Ibis, Herons, Egrets, Anhingas ( snake birds), Skimmers, Storks, Pelicans, and sea gulls out my back window each day. There an occasional gator and sea otter hanging around too.

I am at the beach at least 3 nights a week for exercise and maybe a drink/dinner and go for Badass Coffee and scones on the weekend mornings in North Reddington Beach. I"ll be at Daytona to watch the 24 hour race, Sebring in March for the 12 hr, and St Pete for the Indycar race. I plan on going to Sebring in Sept. for the SCCA regional open test and get some seat time this year on the 3.7 mile course.

      I LOVE where I live!!!!

A group of us from work would rent a motor home and hit the 24 and the Sebring events every year during the eighties and early nineties. Sebring was tolerable, albeit crowded as hell. For a while there, it was a free for all, but steps have been taken starting in 1990 to make it a more family-oriented atmosphere. But nothing can prepare you for the carnage of that 24 hour race while camping from late Thursday or Friday to Sunday. The infield restroom is usually a disaster by Saturday afternoon, and by when it's time to leave, the whole area looks like a war zone, with burnt out couches, abandoned temporary wooden structures for viewing and garbage everywhere you look. Plus those nasty seagulls are scavenging everyplace. After not bathing or shaving and drinking non-stop for days, you pretty much come out of the place on your knees.

Don't get me wrong, it's a great experience, but you really need to be younger and stronger than I am now to get through it.

I may be getting mixed up, I was drinking quite a lot at that point.
          Were those pink dolphins?

Barrack Obama is they typical lying, suck up politician. A salesman basically and a pretty good one at that. I can picture him on a luxury car lot or maybe selling suits at Nieman Marcus. He has that dignified look and that formal style of voice. Very good media candy in deed and he's done his job well. It's pretty clear though he has people behind him doing the real work. Corporations, banks, military contractors and such that have a lot to gain from his so called socialist agenda and the continuation of Bush's wars and homeland security agenda. Bush built the fire, Obama added gasoline to it and built a few fires of his own. The big loser will be the middle class as they always are.
