While I think you're drama queen'ing the $8/gal......I do agree that gas will be higher, in the $4/gal range....which is a self fulfilling prophecy because the oil companies said it was going to go up months ago and of course food prices will be higher because 90% of all consumer goods are trucked in to the point of purchase. Higher gas=higher consumer goods.

Even the tree hugging pseudo-environmentalist homo-libs will be demanding we drill here there and everywhere...

And oil companies are gearing up to drill like Nitro said, but prices wont come down because real inflation will be kicking in because of the trillions of worthless paper dollars being printed...
At some point we're going to have to pay for the reckless/out of control spending that's been going on for decades. By all accounts the residential home market is going to take another hit this year....values going down by 5 to 10%, that'll add to the downturn and commercial real estate is going to devalue by anywhere from 10 to 20% depending on which forecast you read. So between oil/gas, the real estate market and higher consumer goods....you'll see consumer confidence/spending plummet and since we are a consumer based economy....this year is going to be a bad one.
BTW, government jobs and pensions ??

Wisconsin is just a glimpse of what's coming...
I agree and 16 other States are looking to do exactly what Wisconsin is trying to do.......

And it won't matter if a D or an R is in office, or if queers can marry...
For some of us it has never mattered......you can't legislate morality and as you're well aware of......the last guy who tried to save the world, they crucified
It's such a stupid issue.....I can't believe people are wasting their time on it.....it's simple....if you believe being gay will damn you to hell....don't be gay. If you believe abortion is a sin....don't do it. What other people do.....if you believe in a judgement day, these people will get what's coming to them. So you'll have the last laugh.

Better plant a garden and get a bike, FORD... I have both...

        Have a nice day...

Everyone should plant a garden or at the very least support small local farmers. The food tastes better and it's better for you.....if it's truly organic.

By and large, I stopped giving a shit about things beyond my self-centered idea of "control" years ago. For instance, the neighbors four doors down have a dog that barks if the wind blows, 24/7. I got fed up with the racket and called the so-called authorities. They came out, and about 12 minutes later, the dog was back to yapping as if bugs were attacking his gonads. Faced with this, just how far was I going to allow my perturbed feelings to go - should I head up to the supermarket, purchase some ground beef and roach tablets, form a patty of the two, and heave it over my neighbor's fence?

It occurred to me that this is the sort of thinking (or the lack of) that is the key to why this planet is in such a sorry state in the first place. The neighbor's dog isn't the problem, it's my own way of dealing with and accepting it that is. I'm not saying you have to be a fucking marshmellow in life, and accept everything it tosses in your face with good cheer. But you do need to learn where and when to mount your battles, and where and when to sign off in defeat in order to fight another day.

                        Hey Craig,

Here's a, "Take it with a grain of salt", moment.......[caveat] I have never tried this so I don't know if this will work but........

Someone told me they used a dog whistle to train an offensive dog to not bark......they would use the whistle every time the dog barked and only stop when the dog stopped barking.

Might work but it just might train the dog to bark.....so I'm not sure but since the whistle is above our hearing frequency and sometimes doing anything that can be perceived as being pro-active makes you feel better about the situation.....might be worth a try.

Hell, it might just give you comical relief at the absurdity of actually doing it......

It includes murder or rape, because of the obvious notion that you can not simply create laws in order to inhibit/prohibit despicable human behavior. Come on, man.

Since even under the penalty of death people still murder........rape is illegal but people still do it. So it does prove my point that even if you make it illegal...people will do it but to even suggest I am for making murder and rape legal, grasping at straws there, Forrest. Then again, we make wars legal, so isn't that sanctioned murder?

Even for your limited intelligence, Forrest........can you really equate gay marriage to murder or rape? Seriously?

As for abortion.....people are going to do whatever they want regardless of what laws we pass....drugs, alcohol, prostitution, and so on have all been illegal at some point and time.......has a law stopped it? So who am I to tell you what to do or not to do. Every action has a consequence.

For an idiot who's always spouting off about getting government out of our lives.....you sure don't mind the intrusion as long as it's in the scope of your narrow views.

Yeah, and guess who will wind up getting arrested? More than likely it'll be good old craig, walking down the street in his underwear at 2 AM, blowing on a whistle that doesn't tweet. Thanks for the advice bro, but given my own personal experience over the years, you don't exactly need to be Columbo to piece together just how this situation would work out.
