Ha! Yeah, the baptists always come to Salt Lake trying to save the Mormons. In fact, a guy named Mike Huckabee came one year. But Mike will support Romney if he gets the nomination. Your post is the perfect example of left extremism. Prayer has a long tradition in this country and others. Many people pray. It's tradition. You paint yourself to be some enlightened creature above it all but you just replace one belief for another which also happens to be highly influenced by peer review. You try to turn a simple prayer for good weather into some kind of in left field wackiness. You are probably one of those same bitter people who get pissed if you wish them a Merry Christmas. LOL!

Let's just say the extremists have taken over both parties. Most the Democrats I know are religious go to church every Sunday people. Some are Mormon believe it or not. Most believe it was the party that stood for a living wage but now they don't know what it is anymore and I hear just as much complaining on the right side of things. It's become too polarized leaving us people in the middle scratching our heads.

My main beef with the Republican Party has nothing to do with religion at all. It's the participating in corporate corruption and the democrat party is just as guilty. The religious stuff is of no concern to me. We have separation of church and state. The president can't force me to go to church or to worship whatever. So slamming some for their religious views really is a moot point. What we should be concerned with is how they will represent us as citizens. To be honest I would welcome a president who really lived up to the golden rule.

All I see from the left is anger and they did nothing to turn what the republicans did when they had power. They just robbed the American people more. Now all I hear is increased slander on people's religion and claims of superiority when they demonstrated they are just as bad. The left shot it's wad with Obama. To continue it's going to have to stop it's far left stance and bring the more moderate people back in which will mean a stop to the religion bashing.

The Taliban say convert or die. A big difference between that and a politician who prays for better weather. Or a politician saying they will pray for you if you are going off to serve the country in a dangerous situation. What would you do, make it illegal to say anything religious in public? Or send religious people to a re-education camp? Religion is not going to go away unless the government strong arms it away and even then it exists in the underground. I just see it part of the human experience. We don't have a state religion here. If anything the US Constitution makes it impossible for any religion to take the country over. It's the least of my worries. If Mitt Wins the Mormon Church will be the least of the country's worries. It will be if Mitt sold out to Wall Street and the international banking oligarchy. I fear bankers more than any religion.

Unless they killed more than one person and have their bodies/body parts all over their house, or they killed more than one person and commited treason in the process, then the death penalty applies.

But if it only involves one person being murdered, then just give them life.

Oh yeah, if the case involves one criminal killing another criminal, then just give them 10 years for each criminal killed. Because they basically took care of a problem before the police did.

The left will just continue to religion bash and offer no real solutions. It will become a small and useless club of atheists with non-solidifying dreams. The reality is the people who believe in God outnumber you and can organize better than you. Probably the most successful atheist organization was the Soviet Union. Even China allows religion now. It's not going to be wiped out because for good or bad it's a basic right of expression. You have to have freedom of religion or you don't have a free society.
