i was raised catholic and to this day when i walk into a church of any kind it creeps me out. i don't get the warm, calm, happy feeling. i get the complete opposite.

I can tell you this,

My dad's side of the family was raised catholic, and went to catholic church and school, and I've never ever heard anything close to what came out of his mouth, or by my folks.

I was raised protestant (friends church rejecting calvinism ftw!), and again, it sounds like nothing even close to what I was taught in school.

I can say that his brand of catholicism sounds more closely related to a calvinist ideaogly. which in lay mens turns is full of bigoted assholes that believe everyone is going to hell. They teach "the fear of god", and not the "love of god".

Dog Fucker Santorum is a member of the Opus Dei cult, which is the extreme right wing dominionist-fascist branch of Catholicism. It has as much in common with mainstream Catholics as the Falwell/Robertson/Franklin Graham types do with mainline Protestants.
