Most of the dudes I hung with dropped out and disappeared. I run accross some of them time to time. Usually they're on SSI or trying to get SSI. There just weren't too many "functional" stoners in the area I came from. Unless you mean "functional" as in really good at growing weed. I know a few of them guys still. Now they grow it for the legal dispensaries and make good money doing it.
As far as me. I'm not rich. I go from job to job but I support myself. I don't suck on the government teet. I'd rather be broke and live here than rich and still live in LA. You can deal with those scumbags down there. I don't care if you live in fucking Beverly Hills you till have to deal with scum every day of the week down there. With the exception of Lounge most people up here are cool as cool gets.
