The U.S. interests always have been and are still controlled behind closed doors by centuries old WASP money from across the pond in the U.K. It's no coincidence that they have remained our closest ally while we have managed to burn almost every bridge with our others.

I am not a regular watched of John Stewart....I think he's a funny guy, just don't watch the show. I did stumble across it a few minutes ago while channel surfing after my Yankees imploded and caught larry David's segment on Obama.....pretty damn funny. What this has to do with this thread I have absolutely no idea....just wondering if anyone else saw it.Comment

You have got to be fuckin' kidding me, Jack!
I ask you to tap into your Aryan-driven hatred and ignorance to provide me with a sig, and all you can do is break out some goofy picture and some crayons?!?
You've let me down yet again, Jack.
Honestly, sometimes it seems like I'm asking for a battle of wits with a goddamned kindergartener.Comment

I could just as easily say it's a wasted vote voting for the "far" lesser of two evils because all you do is reinforce a broken system out of fear. If people voted for what they believed in instead of voting against who they don't believe in, we'd have a lot more diversity.
Paul people are principled people. They won't vote for Obama, could never vote for Obama. I hope they do what I do -- vote for Gary Johnson. As strong showing there will still defeat Romney, will stick to our principles and will send a strong message to the RNC.Comment

Uh, no ... and that bit about wasting votes is silly too.

For example although the environmental green party here has hardly ever won anything, their rise in support may have led the major parties to go that way a bit.Comment

You know what, I know it's a bit of an "out there" theory, but I didn't invent it....at least it's not as "out there" as some of Jackboot's posts...Sesh, i refuse to argue with you after you started that brilliant thread...."What is it about drummers"....that shit had me laughing for days.Comment

It's true that even if say 5% of people start voting for a marginal candidate the pollsters of the major parties will pick up on it and for self interest they will incorporate some of their policies.
For example although the environmental green party here has hardly ever won anything, their rise in support may have led the major parties to go that way a bit.
I seriously don't believe the Republicans are in anyway smart enough with their brand of RHINO-Stalinist mentality to embrace a change; traditional Republicans voting for Obama would affect far more "change" within the party and moderating it and getting the GOP out of the hands of the partisan-extremist fuckwits that currently dominate it. Pres. Clinton pegged them perfectly when he said these dummies see any sort of compromise and talking as weakness and see complete domination as their goal, which of course is fundamentally anti-democratic and fascist....Last edited by Nickdfresh; 09-07-2012, 09:05 AM.Comment

Or the GOP will just pander even more to the schizo-ideologues in the Tea Party, which is anything but representative of the Ron Paul vintage of libertarianism...
