I somewhat agree, but they are hell-bent on disarming the public...

    Check this story out...

Lone Protester Pickets Tanner Gun Show In Denver

DENVER (CBS4) – As the debate over gun control continues big crowds were met with a protester at the Tanner Gun Show at the Denver Merchandise Mart on Saturday.

Ever since the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut, there have been increased talks about gun control in the United States.

People were filing in an out of the Tanner Gun Show proudly putting their First Amendment right to use. Some bought guns for hunting, others for protection. They were met with opposition as one lone protester picketed out front in support of a ban on so called assault weapons.

“Something snapped in me and I have to say something,” the protester said.

“Ban spoons, they make me fat,” a person yelled at the protester.

The topic of gun control brought out a range of emotions from people driving by, some even yelling profanity at the thought of controlling their rights as an American.

“It’s a tool. People kill people and you can’t argue with a sick mind,” a man said.

“It’s not the weapon, it’s the people,” a woman said.

One group of gun owners didn’t buy any firearms on Saturday, nor do they own a firearm that could be considered an assault weapon. Still, they are against stricter gun control regulations.

“I’ve got guys that go coyote hunting with them because of the accuracy and the lightness of it,” another man said.

“I don’t need one, so I’m not going to own one, but I don’t want you to take away my rights,” the woman said.

Despite their opposing views on gun control, the people do agree on one thing — something needs to be done in hopes of preventing another tragic school shooting.

Despite protesting alone, the woman said she plans to be picketing the gun show the entire weekend and will gladly discuss her views with anyone who disagrees with her.

Media Ignores Shooting Stopped by Law-Abiding Gun Owner

Fuck you, Media...and you gun hating hypocrites...

      December 31, 2012

On Sunday December 17, 2012, 2 days after the CT shooting, a man went to a restaurant in San Antonio to kill his X-girlfriend. After he shot her, most of the people in the restaurant fled next door to a theater. The gunman followed them and entered the theater so he could shoot more people.

He started shooting and people in the theater started running and screaming. It’s like the Aurora, CO theater story plus a restaurant!

Now aren’t you wondering why this isn’t a lead story in the national media along with the school shooting?

There was an off duty county deputy at the theater. SHE pulled out her gun and shot the man 4 times before he had a chance to kill anyone.

So since this story makes the point that the best thing to stop a bad person with a gun is a good person with a gun, the media is treating it like it never happened.

Only the local media covered it. The city is giving her a medal next week. Just thought you’d like to know.

Not Ashamed of America’s Gun Culture

          R.G. Yoho
          clashdaily.com
          January 2, 2013

The other day in our local newspaper, there were three political columns on the editorial page, all three of them one-sidedly calling for gun control and moaning about America’s “Gun Culture.”
As a law-abiding gun owner, I must say that I am a part of America’s gun culture. I am proud of it. In addition, I often thank God for it.

During World War II, the most brutal fighting experienced by our military were the battles waged against the Japanese Imperial Army. Moreover, the inhumane conditions faced by our captured American POWs and the atrocities visited upon them by their Japanese captors was like nothing faced by most of those in German prison camps.

On Iwo Jima, over 7,000 American soldiers were killed, some of them forced to engage in hand-to-hand combat. About that same number of Americans lost their life at Guadalcanal.

Therefore, one can only wonder how many Americans — civilians and military alike — would have died had the Japanese chosen to invade the mainland of the United States.

Japanese General Yamamoto said, “You cannot invade the mainland United States. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.”

Their decision not to invade the United States was a direct result of what they believed to be America’s “gun culture.”

Therefore, you should thank God for it too.

During that same time, the Japanese invaded China, a nation without a gun culture.
In Nanking, the Japanese killed over 250,000 civilians.

Soldiers deliberately raped women in front of their husbands. They forced fathers to rape their own daughters. They forced sons to rape their mothers. Moreover, they killed any family member who tried to intervene.

The Japanese soldiers impaled infants on their bayonets, tossing them back and forth, spearing their bleeding, lifeless, tiny bodies on their guns like it was a game.

And had Yamamoto chosen to invade our mainland, then you would have seen the same nearly-unspeakable atrocities occurring right in the streets of America.

You should thank God for our gun culture.

Nearly every nation that practiced gun control has eventually seen their citizens wiped out in acts of mass murder or genocide.

The same thing would happen here as well.

As a Western author, some would say I write stories that glorify America’s gun culture. As a gun owner and hunter, I proudly exercise my right to engage in America’s gun culture. As an American who respects the Constitution our Founders penned for us, I also celebrate our gun culture.

America’s gun culture, I praise it; I enjoy it. I honor it. I celebrate it. I am proud of it. I write stories about it. I often spend my leisure hours participating in it. I fill my freezer and my belly with it.

America’s gun culture, I believe God instituted it, our Founders gave everything to establish it, and our military often died to protect it.

I believe in America’s gun culture.
          So should you!

But if none of us had guns then the police would protect us, right? Oh wait, I forgot. Everybody in America is a super-blackops-navy-seal-invisible-ninja-warrior with mad hand-to-hand fighting skills. Duh.

Illinois Dems advance gun control bills with "no exceptions."

Illinois Senate Authoritarian Control Freaks disguised as Democrats advanced legislation late Wednesday to restrict semiautomatic weapons and high-capacity magazines, pressing forward with new gun control measures in the waning days of the session over the objections of firearms groups.

Amid the developments, the Illinois State Rifle Association issued an “urgent alert” to its members warning them that Democratic legislators were trying to push through last-minute anti-gun legislation.

“There would be no exemptions and no grandfathering,” the group stated in its alert. “You would have a very short window to turn in your guns to the state police and avoid prosecution.”

A Senate committee approved two bills, one dealing with the weapons and the other with magazines. Democratic supporters could face a tough sell in the full Senate.

One measure would ban the possession, delivery, sale and transfer of semiautomatic handguns and rifles. People who currently own such weapons could keep them but would have to register them. The bill would allow semiautomatic weapons to be used at shooting ranges, but those facilities would be regulated.

National Rifle Association lobbyist Todd Vandermyde told lawmakers the bill would restrict about 75 percent of handguns and 50 percent of long guns in circulation today. He also said it would treat law-abiding gun owners like criminals, and is in conflict with Second Amendment rights upheld by the courts.

"I've never seen a piece of legislation that tramples on so many court decisions," Vandermyde said.
The other bill, introduced by Democratic state Sen. Dan Kotowski, would limit ammunition magazines to 10 or fewer rounds.

No semiautomatic weapons at all? But if I lived there my Ruger Super Redhawk would be exempt? Yeah, that makes a lot of sense...
