I don't know of anybody dying from smoking dope. You can't even overdose on the stuff, because you would fall asleep long before it happens.

Now the caveat there, is that you CAN actually overdose on THC in edibles, and the recent overhyped corporate media stories sensationalizing this have been all about that. But they were directly caused by people who didn't have a clue what they were doing and eating far too much. Dosage of THC in smoking weed is easy. If you have too much, you fall asleep. And it's just sleep.... not like mixing booze and pills where you don't wake up.

But these idiots like Maureen Dowd, who buy this huge medible candy bar and eat the whole thing, and then freak out.... well that's her own fault for being a stupid cunt.. You get a stronger dosage from edibles than you do from bong hits, because you're not burning off half the good stuff in to the air. But it goes through your digestive system before it hits the bloodstream, therefore it takes longer. So people eat more, thinking they haven't had enough. And then it hits them. Hard.

Edibles aren't available here yet, so I haven't tried them. But I can apply the experience above to my own experience with mushrooms way back when. I probably ate way more than I should have, because they weren't kicking in fast enough. Fortunately, I had a good trip once it happened. In fact, if I were ever to do a psychedelic again, I would take shrooms over acid, no contest. Not likely though, in either case. I abused my liver enough from years of drinking HFCS-laden Coca-Cola like it was water

Well, as I said, my only interest in trying it is because it's a more effecient delivery system than wasting half of it by setting it on fire. Though the compromise between those two would be the vape option. Haven't tried that yet either. Haven't had weed at all in about 12 years, actually. Some times I do miss it.....
