Well, in retrospect, I just think that Desert Storm turned out NOT to be a clusterfuck like Americans had been used to with Korea and Vietnam, not to mention the Marines losing their lives in Beirut, as well as some intelligence failures that cost some SEALs their lives in Panama in '89....
So the 1st Gulf War went almost as good as it could have went, albeit still losing 258 Americans, and everyone was happy with the result...
Also one other thing: I give Bush 41 credit: He stopped advancing the troops after Kuwait had been liberated.... He could have had the troops go all the way to Baghdad, which would have resulted in many more American casualties, but he didn't....
I think it's safe to safe if Dubya had been Pres back then, we wouldn't have seen the same result....
