I traded a small block Chevy motor for a Pinto one time after I decided the El Camino I was driving wasn't worth the money to restore after I rebuilt the heads and changed the transmission. It was just too rusted out underneath. I drove the crap out of that Pinto for months without doing any maintenence and it never gave me any trouble. I sold it to a buddy and he blew the engine up in a week because he never checked the oil even though the oil light came on the second or third day he drove it.
