Now of course you mortals are always confusing me with FORD, but here in Hell, we practice what could be best described as a "social demoncratic monarchy". I, the Devil, am the eternal chief executive, of course. The necessary and proper public commons are part of the Infernal Federal Government. This includes emergency services, health care, energy, infrastructure, education, and banking, for example. Everything else - manufacturing, agriculture, sales & service businesses, etc. are all private sector.
It's not a utopia, nor do I clam it as such. It's Hell, after all. But it works. And when your society has to last for eternity, then it damned well better work.Last edited by Satan; 12-01-2013, 07:02 PM.Eternally Under the Authority of Satan

FORD, you call me a Tea Party guy constantly. Remember that shit?
That would mean I believe that like bailouts, (Obama) there is no such power is granted to the federal government via the Constitution. So saving corporations from bankruptcy certainly isn't one of the proper functions of government.
You are one of the OWS shitheads that bailed out Wall Street and are still doing so via QE3.
All government subsidies, targeted tax breaks, government-granted monopolies and privileges, and other government intrusions into the marketplace constitute corporate welfare.
Get it?
You might find some forms of corporate welfare to be less offensive than others.
All of them will distort the price system.
I support a free market, not "big business", i e capitalism. When you insert corporate welfare into a free market, you create a system of "crony capitalism", by every fucking politician that is on corporate campaign welfare.

Actually, no. And stop calling me FORD.

Then look at how that sort of dragonshit didn't happen for another 50 years, until greedy assed cowards began dismantling FDR's reforms which literally saved your country from fascism.

First, you HAVE to stop the campaign contributions Congress receives from corporate interests.
By removing them from office, by force if necessary (federal marshal), make the result outweigh the benefits of taking campaign contributions Congress receives from corporate interest by ending campaign contributions for corporate welfare and bringing some fiscal sanity to our budget.
This is tough. Because everyone in Congress says they oppose “corporate welfare” yet they all seem to practice it faithfully.
Next you take on entitlements. And there ' s really not much more to be said after that.
Why?
Most on the left and some on the right don't understand student aid is corporate welfare.
65 billion.
That's ingrained socialism. That's why there isn't much more to be said after that.A NATION OF COWARDS - Jeffrey R. SnyderComment

So turn off your stove, refrigerator, give up your cell phone and internet, don't travel to work, don't power your armies, navy, and that last person out of Parliament should shut off the lights.A NATION OF COWARDS - Jeffrey R. SnyderComment

At the same time, the I.R.S. and the United States Tax Court have denied the credit for some projects that would have benefited the community as well as the companies receiving it. In 2009, for instance, the federal tax court denied Union Carbide’s attempt to claim a research and development credit for its project to reduce the pollutants released from the smokestacks of a refinery in Louisiana. Union Carbide failed to meet the experimental threshold for the credit, though video game makers often seem to have little trouble meeting the requirement.A NATION OF COWARDS - Jeffrey R. Well... let's be fair here.... Video game makers never killed thousands of people, and impacted the long term health of 3/4 of a million people like Union Carbide did in Bhopal. Understandably, they have not proven themselves very trustworthy when it comes to acting responsibly with their pollution.Eternally Under the Authority of Satan
