The climate has always been changing. So has the earth. I just don't see how paying carbon taxes with no long-term, well defined energy plan is going to fix the problem. Also you can find a scientific argument for anything. It's like real estate appraisals. I could always find an appraiser to give me the number I wanted. If you stop looking at the bark of on tree and look at the whole forrest, it's pretty apparent the warming trend was due to greater sun activity because the whole solar system was heating up.

How many times is the public going to get duped by alarmism? I took a lot of statistics classes. The conclusion is only as accurate as the raw data. The hardest part of doing a study is making sure the raw data is accurate and it's easy to fudge. Put the thermometer on the pavement instead of hanging it out in a neutral ambient area. Temperature readings can vary widely according to where the measurements are taken. It's garbage in, garbage out. In fact my first semester statistics professor laughed and said he's going to show us how to lie with statistics.

Like anything, it's as relevant as the parties involved. Just because it comes from a well known institution doesn't mean shit. Look at how many financial institutions people trusted. Leman Brothers. AIG. Even trusted auditing firms were cooking the books for clients. Well if they will fudge in the finance world which is data based. They will fudge in the scientific world as well.
