I suspect that many people think along the 'it's not our business' line. The question becomes: if the current events are due in large part to historic intervention of the West in the Middle East, does that give us a moral duty to intervene now (i.e. a sins of the father argument).
Most of evidence coming out about ISIS suggests that the Saudi's are funding them. The US/UK has certainly de-stablised the region, however.
Personally, I think that the US and Uk need to work with other countries in the region (Iran and Jordan, for example) to begin to come to a resolution before it gets far, far worse.
