Bernie Sanders Struggles To Say Why He Doesn't Support Reparations

WASHINGTON -- Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders repeatedly ducked questions Sunday about why he doesn't support reparations to African Americans because of slavery.

He should say that he doesn't support reparations because he believes in math.

Everyone on the planet has a slave ancestor, everyone on the planet shares an ancestor from around 1100AD. For everyone in Europe you need only go back a few hundred years to find a shared ancestor.

The idea of reparations would have made perfect sense at any point within a generation or so after the "Civil" war, when those actually freed from slavery could have been paid by those who held them prisoner.

Most of my ancestors arrived in this country in the middle of the 19th century, and the first place they settled was Wisconsin, so I'm relatively certain that nobody in my family tree ever owned a slave on this continent. The remainder of the ancestors were Cherokee, which means they were around before either the slaves or the idiots who thought owning human beings was a good business model.

Just keep in mind those idiots who thought slavery was a great idea inserted language into the Constitution to protect the institution. It was an American disgrace, not just a Southern one. People tend to forget that.

Now as far as slave owners paying reparations to former slaves after the end of that damn war, that woulda been kinda hard, seein as how Lincoln's dogs pretty much destroyed the South. Of course the federal gubment could have paid those reparations. But for some reason that didn't happen. Gee, I wonder why, since the north was such a haven and Heaven for freed slaves. I guess the reality is a lot different than the myth everyone has been taught.

It's a shame that the founders of such a great country could have been so wrong as to think the Slavin Days was a good idea. But they did and for some reason nobody's cryin about the American flag. Oh well, it's best to just not think about it. Otherwise we might have to take down all those American flags flying over every state building in the country.

And whatever you do - don't go read Lincoln's own words about black folk. If enough people did they'd be demanding his monument be blowed up real good.

Native americans including Cherokee were notorious for snatching white woman and children and assimilating them into their tribes. They probably treated them a little better than the white man treated black slaves once they were assimilated but they still considered them property.

I live in a small town in Louisiana where damn near everyone is related. One of my nephews married a local. Before they were allowed to date her parents had to meet him and make sure they weren't. They're seperated now but the families are still friendly. That's a good thing considering we like to have fire pit parties damn near every weekend and the local police chief is my niece in law's uncle.

Above the waist I tan but I wear shorts most of the time if I can get away with it and my legs only darken a little. If I take a putt on the scooter wearing shorts the part of my leg just above the bottom of my shorts usually ends up burned. I have some cactus based lotion I put on any sunburned parts that minimizes the pain and redness almost instantaniously.

Might I suggest White 2 Black Extreme tanning lotion? It's not a fake tan lotion so you'll have to lay around the yard nekkid to get results but I highly recommend it.
