Well, I'm glad you asked that question. Now, what was the question? Oh yes, well it may not make much difference at all. But in this case I think there were 3 Talicong in the building. So if there were two of us armed with say M&P 9mms and an extra mag each, that's 35 rounds each that we could try - try being the key word here - to put on target. Which shouldn't be difficult since I'd bet money most people moved away from the shooters pretty damn fast. I'd imagine the shooters stuck out like Ford at a Bush Family Reunion. Now, could two people armed with 70 rounds of 9mm between them be able to kill three people armed with full auto AKs? I don't know. But the chances of killing them are greater if at least some of the people are armed with guns than they are if everybody is armed with nothing but cell phones and fists.

Owning and training with a firearm doesn't make you a super tactical ninja. But it's better than not being armed. Unless the general consensus is its better to just wait to kiss the blade or take a bullet, especially when the chances are pretty damn high you are going to die anyway.

In the big picture historical sense (as well as the context of within the US) the numbers certainly would indicate that "Christian" terrorism is a much bigger problem.

KKK- "Christian" terrorists. Westboro Baptist Church - "Christian" terrorists. All that bullshit that went on in Ireland for years - Catholic vs Protestant "Christian" terrorism. The slaughter of Native Americans on this continent? "Christian" genocidal terrorism.

Seriously, think about the death toll from this type of attacks & remember that they are several & armed with assault rifles & explosives. If they were anything less than barely competent, you can bet your ass that the body count would be a LOT higher. Everyone that survived a terrorist attack can be thankful that these monkeys are barely smart enough to know which end to point at their victims.

So by the time they sprayed you with bullets that may or may not hit any vital organs, you'd've probably capped them all. Whether you'd still be breathing afterwards would depend entirely on luck.
