I've become pretty much convinced that the people that front the biggest corporations and government are mainly psychopaths or sociopaths however you want to classify it. As are the people at the top of most fields.

This of course may be just a cop out for me not being one of them but it does seem to be the case.

I wonder if this is because most corporations - or banks - seem to demand complete & utter loyalty, to the point of you choosing to fuck over, or dismiss friends or family over your employers.

Kinda like a religion.

Of course, the fault in this reasoning is that it's much, much easier for a person with no scruples at all to fake loyalty to further their own goals, whereas a truly loyal person is likely to question some of the sometimes unethical procedures of a major corporation.

However, since the way corporations do business is by being morally bankrupt, maybe there isn't a fault in the reasoning, after all.

I think to get to the top of any tree, be it best fucking geographer in France or the CEO of the company that makes 20% of the world's sink plugs you need to be driven to the point that it's all about you. For example it's very unusual to meet a 'high achiever' who is on their first marriage and if they are they will be at least fucking around a lot.

There's a few billionaires who are pretty decent. They are driven. The motive varies and is it all about them? Sometimes. I think a guy like Steve Jobs was motivated by his hippie philosophy to revolutionize the world and kind of saw Apple as a catalyst to do it. Once your corporation goes public though it's more about making money because that's all the stock holders care about. Private corporations sometimes have more motives than just making money. The bottom line is most people don't want the responsibility. Sure they would like the wealth but people in general don't want to be responsible for anything. A person who is going to be a billionaire is smart, very driven, works constantly and loves responsibility. Sometimes to a fault.

Now I'm of an age of the people that run the world it's a real eye opener meeting some of them.

They are always far too self obsessed to be even adequate parents which is probably one of the main reasons that more of them are male.

There's only two rich bastards I like & they're literally a couple of Dicks - Richard Branson & Richard Garriott.

They seem to really enjoy & make use of their wealth by coming up with all sorts of hare-brained schemes that only someone with a lot of money can do.

Plus, Mr. Garriott is kinda like a rock star, in a way. He got to be filthy stinking rich by CREATING stuff, instead of just making money off of other people's assets. A nerd in his basement creating computer games in the 70s, Mr. Garriott is someone we can all look up to.
