I have a friend who grew up in the Soviet Union. His view on Bernie Sanders. He's a communist. A true believer. His take on the US which he is now a citizen of. His main fear is most the right wing presidential candidates will take us into a war with horrifying results. The left wing candidates will take us to being like what the Soviet Union aspired to being in the 1960's. In his opinion he says Rand Paul is the only decent candidate. He's not going to use bravado to get us into a un-winable war. He values the constitution over being safe in other words he isn't going to use an emergency situation to roll over our rights. I see his point but Rand has no chance in hell as winning. He thinks Trump is too much of an egomaniac to be president. Always interesting to get people's opinions who immigrated here from somewhere else especially a communist country.

Bernie got a lot of media coverage but now it's Trump, Trump, Trump and of course both the Democrat and Republican establishment want to take him down. Bernie is more like a popular Ralf Nader. If you are an independent you have to get on all the county ballots and that's a chore. Ralf Nader spent a fortune and had to have a large staff of people just to do that. If Democrats are going to lock Bernie out because he might be a socialist but he is going to go after Wall Street. No doubt about that. That's why they want Hillary. I don't agree with Bernie on a lot of things but I would love to see him beat that witch on the independent ticket. Hillary should be in prison.

Doesn't surprise me that more girls are killing themselves. And I say that because of all the girls my kid knows that cut themselves. And I'm not gonna joke around or be sarcastic here - it's a pretty fucked up situation when there are several young girls in one Southern middle and high school who mutilate themselves. It's sad and it's one of those things where you wish you could help kids like that but there's nothing we as other parents in the community can really do. The schools know which girls are doing it and they call in the parents and social services and all that but it doesn't help and these kids damn sure need help. As a parent it's heartbreaking when your kid says "See that girl, she got called to the office today because she's been cutting herself." What the fuck is wrong with the world?

First off Buckwheat, I didn't start that thread nor am I the only one opposed to Syrian refugees coming here. The only U S resident I saw in favor of that was Ford. Believe it or not I am sympathetic about these people's plight but I don't trust our government to succesfully weed out any potential terrorists who might be among them. If the government's screening of the terrorist female who along with her hubby murdered all those peple in San Bernadino is an example of their competence they suck at screening. I wouldn't trust them to screen the seeds out of my stash before I rolled a fatty.

Yup. People cut themselves to deal with inner emotional pain. So where is all this emotional pain coming from? Fucked up home situations is a big part of it. Talk to any teacher or principal and they will tell you some sad stories. It's not just in the economic poor areas either.
