I've been arguing this one with gun nuts on another board. I presented this case as an argument for "smart gun" technology, which would make bullshit like this impossible, as the guns would only be usable by the legal owner - the fat cow pictured above, in this case - and would be completely useless to her felon boyfriend. It wouldn't necessarily solve all the instances of unqualified gun ownership, but it would certainly end "strawman purchases" like this one, the guns used in the Columbine massacre, the Sandy Hook massacre, the Tulalip high school shooting up here in Cascadia, etc. All "legally purchased" guns, but not used by the person who legally purchased them.

It sickens me to read all the lame excuses some of those gun nuts come up with to not support this. "blah blah blah second amendment yada yada my cock is too small etc". Well... unless you're a convicted felon, and thus SHOULDN'T OWN A FUCKING GUN, why would a procedure to secure legal gun purchases bother you??
