When I said we needed to phase out vehicles that run on petroleum based fuels I didn't say electric vehicles were the only alternative. Cars can run on ethanol as well. Ethanol can be made from just about anything.

Who mentioned sheep? Where you watching sheep porn on XHamster again? I dig that too but there's a time and a place for that and it isn't during a discussion about fossil fuels.

Yeah, a bit. Part of the "not in my back yard" mentality...

Windmills? Ha ha ha! They have motors in them! Motors that need maintenance! They are made of steel that rusts! They are breeding and distributing mold into the air and onto crops and communities, at a rate your Government does not want you to know about!
Yeah, um, you can recycle that shit by smelting. As far as the "mold" I've never heard that. You probably have seen the ones here by the lake located (appropriately) next to the decommissioned shithole that was Bethlehem Steel. We also have a shitton between Buffalo and Rochester located in the farm sticks...

Solar? Can't store it long enough. How long do the panels last? How do we dispose of, or recycle them? Are they environmentally friendly after they wear out?

Batteries for these electric cars, trucks, trains and heavy equipment. Where are we going to dispose or recycle those? How environmentally friendly are they when their life is up? How long will they last?
I don't give a fuck. We just built a massive Solar City complex here and it's great!

How you gonna make the solar panels, batteries and anything else, without fossil fuels?

You fucking guys that like to spout off about "sheep" are the biggest sheep of them all.
I'm pretty sure there are lubricants and petroleum in the processes, but that's a bit of a false choice. You still end up using a lot less...

"Green" is another fucking scam perpetuated by your Government, to line their pockets, while leading you around by your nose.
Well, yeah, to an extent. Just Google "Ciminelli" and Solar City. Anything that involves money and government contracts involves corruption on some level. But at the same time the sticky wheel needs some grease and that's the American way to get things done - controlled and limited payoffs and kickbacks....

Yeah Nick, when I worked in the dry ice blasting business, we were commissioned to try to clean those fucking windmills. They wanted the mold issue to be hush hush.

Do like George Jones and ride your lawnmower to the liquor store. Yeah, it burns gas, but it would be less.

I don't know if you saw the big wind turbine at Lincoln Electric when you came in for the John 5 show. My parents live over that way, I'm over there at least once a week. That turbine is down more than it runs.

We sit in the "sustainablity" meetings at work and laugh. All of us drive trucks that get 15 MPG (or in my case, 10 MPG :D) and have boats, RV's, quads, snowmobiles etc.

I have video of a drunk woman pulled over on her lawn mower just down the road from me, lol. I guess it was about two years ago, my daughter and I were driving home at nite and I see a cop car on the side of the road with the blue lights on and no other car and I swear I think I see a lawn mower so I turn around and drive back past and then turn around again headed home and yep it's a drunk woman on a lawn mower.

Sadly, drunken lawn mower trips to the beer store are on the decline here. Oddly enough you can drive a scooter or moped on the roads with no registration or license so most of the drunks ride their likkercycles to the beer store.
