Big investment banks like Goldman Sachs are ran by Jews. People mention old money like the Rothschilds all the time. Of course the reality is the Jewish community is a mixed bag. Lot’s of different types and as the joke goes, seven Jews, seven opinions. I think you will see a rise in anti-semitism both in Europe and here in America. They will be scape goat for the same reason they were in the past. Jews are industrious people and tend to end up in powerful positions. People get jealous of them and the bad behavior of some Jews give people an excuse to attack Jews.

All this stuff seems to run in cycles. It’s human nature and nothing changes because we never learn.
And as overt as Trump is about his own racism, because Trump allowed his daughter to marry a Jew apparently Trump isn't racist enough for many white nationalists.

That Kushner married into the Trump family drives both Steve Bannon and Stephen Miller nuts.

Stephen Miller is Jewish himself, though he is the dictionary definition of a "Self-Hating Jew", especially considering how he goes out of his way to look and act like Josef Goebbels.

His own family members are understandably embarrassed by him, of course.....

I never bought into Trump being racist. To be honest. I don't think he cares what color or race anyone is as long as they get the job done. Trump's problem is he doesn't define what he means very well. He will say people crossing the border are bad people. What he really means is the drug and human traffickers and such. Then that just gives his political enemies something to smack him with.

Trump is basically an asshole from New York. Loud mouthed and brash. He has a disruptive personality and people don't like that. Also we seem to be living in a time where everyone is looking for a scapegoat to piss on. Trump is a popular pissing target.

Those have always existed. They are called self-hating Jews and during the Nazi era they were called Ratten Juden. Apparently George Soros was one and admitted it during a 60 Minutes interview.

It may well be possible that Trump simply doesn't have any use for anybody - regardless of color/ethnicity - who won't either line his pockets/give him something he wants (votes, accolades. etc.), affirm how wonderful he is or both.

Should that be the case, I suppose an argument could be made that Trump isn't bigoted in that he doesn't specifically target ethnic groups because of their ethnicity per se, rather that they have no use for him. I mean, he certainly did enjoy the company of Mike Tyson, Michael Jackson and more recently Kanye West.

The idea that Trump is being pissed on unfairly, as if his words and actions had nothing to do with any of it and he has been unfairly scapegoated...well, you're welcome to raise that idea up the flagpole. Suffice to say I won't salute it. Surely, you're not suggesting that his disruptive personality alone is the primary reason he is disliked by so many, as opposed to the specifics of what he has both said and done. I can assure you, were it Mike Pence or Jeb Bush saying and doing the things Trump has without the Trump personality attached, the anger would be just as fervent.

Trump is an asshole from New York. He enjoys being despised. The hatred of others toward him is something he covets just as much as the endless praise he craves. As long as people are talking about him, he doesn't care much either way, provided the cash is rolling in. Being from the region, those of us from the area heard all about Trump going back nearly 40 years. We didn't just find out who he was when The Apprentice started airing 14 years ago. We knew full well about the nature of his business dealings, and the character of [Trump] long before anybody had even heard the name Obama or dreamed a black man would win the presidency in our lifetimes. Any attempts at soft pedaling regarding who Trump is today for those of us who have been more than slightly acquainted with the guy since the early 1980s are a Fool's Errand: historical revisionism ain't gonna work.

I don't remember there being much said about this at the time but only four (James K. Polk, Woodrow Wilson, Richard Nixon and Donald Trump) presidents have won election despite losing their state of residence.

              Trump lost New York spectacularly.

You could count Al Gore in that list. When the numbers were finally actually counted, he WON Florida. But he lost Tennessee because of NRA propaganda.

Just like Colorado. Drive 10 minutes out of Denver and its Redneck Magaville.

Growing up in California... I came across far more hicks/rednecks per capita than here in the Ozarks...

Yup. Van Halen used to play a few of those redneck dives. Walter Mitty's and some place up in the San Fernando Valley. Plenty of chicken screwing white trash in California.
