Wow! Just wow.
Just a note Gar because you do not grasp what a cymbal is.
Thanks, Arielle.
btw the reason those Titanium-coated cymbals aren't solid titanium is because titanium is strong, but is also fragile. It will crack if used like a cymbal.
And I think I know what a cymbal is, I picked up a nice score in a pair of hihats, crash ride and Zildjian bag for $50 last week.
Here, since you obviously didn't find THIS on wikipedia:
Titanium is a strong, light metal. It is as strong as steel and twice as strong as aluminum, but is 45% lighter than steel and only 60% heavier than aluminum. Titanium is not easily corroded by sea water and is used in propeller shafts, rigging and other parts of boats that are exposed to sea water. Titanium and titanium alloys are used in airplanes, missiles and rockets where strength, low weight and resistance to high temperatures are important. Since titanium does not react within the human body, it is used to create artificial hips, pins for setting bones and for other biological implants. Unfortunately, the high cost of titanium has limited its widespread use.
It is too fucking bad your rotten sandals made of Firestone tire rejects are smarter than you.
I used to work a LOT with titanium.
That fucking shit is so strong it is like trying to cut steel with a butter knife! Even when you have industrial strength bandsaws, drills, cutting wheels, etc.!
Even Keith Moon would have a hard time damaging, let alone destroying, a titanium cymbal.
If you cannot say anything intelligent, then shut the fuck up!
And if you actually did abide by that rule, we would never hear from you again!
Which would be really nice, I might add.
As someone else said recently, you even fail at FAILING!
Titanium is brittle, prone to cracking moreso than the bronze/brass alloys used in cymbals.
That's as far as I'll elaborate here since your searches should turn up further clarification should you want the truth.
So keep trying to own me using the google and the wikipedia so criticized when I link some edumacation to you of diminished understanding.
You are the Queen of Wiki and Google, hypocrite.
Own you? Fuck, there isn't a person who hasn't owned you. That is when you're not busy owning yourself posting dizzying bullshit you have NO FUCKING CLUE about. You try and turn around truths that are posted here by others, trying to "one up" everyone. Pfft, you are a delusional Asshat that is fucking LOATHED by 98% of posters in these forums.
So why do you continue to post here? Why not simply be a good little Troll and follow the instructions I've mapped out for worms like you...
Damn Gar....
Poorly made and ill fated idiophones have cracked, The Liberty Bell for example.
When working with exotic metals craftsmanship counts.
Do cymbals crack sometimes?
Yes they do. Including your beloved production instruments.
Strings break, heads rip (even skinheads), bars break. bodies warp.
To put it simply, we need to worry a lot less about how to communicate our actions and much more about what our actions communicate.
